I often hear your best hitter should be 3rd. Shouldn't your best hitter have the opportunity to drive in rums? Or is he hitting 2nd to get more at bats a game? -
Unless, of course, we get someone better before the trade deadline...

What about Huira 3rd Braun 5th? Can I get your thought process, when putting the lineup in that order? Not saying it's bad at all. I've been advocating putting Yeli 3rd for a while now.

He has been a real treat to watch and it is too cool that he plays for us. In FL we get all of the Marlins games and I watched him often back then. He was good but I never dreamed he'd turn into this when we made that trade!

So many of our pitching prospects have excelled in the pen as opposed to the rotation. Started with Hader, now Peralta, Houser, even Burnes with more success in the pen. Financially would be more productive if these guys settle into the rotation at some point, but sure looks good as relievers now. Maybe if we are buyers later on we can concentrate on getting a starter and leave these guys in the pen?

I'm glad for Shaw. I like him a lot but AAA ain't the same as hitting ML hitting. Just ask Saladino...

We lost power up here in Green Bay right after Cain's HR and it didn't come back on until 3 am so if I had to miss part of a game last night was the one. I hope we can get a good starter and reliever before the trade deadline. I don't think things are so bleak we to have to have a fire sale and start over.

They need an backup infielder capable of playing SS, though. I mean, I guess you could stick Moose or Shaw there in a pinch, but it isn't ideal. Hey Shaw's picked it up but the infielder that's really been raking in AAA is Cory Spangenberg, and I find it interesting that he started at SS yesterday. Plus he can play virtually anywhere much like Perez. Then perhaps we should bring him up to take the place of Saladino...

Agreed. We really have only one reliever we can rely on and that isn't enough.

Because of two singles both hit off their fists? Plus he gave up 2 unearned runs in that inning. Hader got the save and that is all that matters.
