  1. Posts like this is why we need a "like" button around here.
  2. In a sport where the field is literally a different size in every stadium I'm not sure this is strongest argument. Oh, good grief! Both teams in a game play on that same field! You will have to do better than that! Wrigley Field and Petco Park are the same?
  3. I agree with everything you said except the strike zone. Every ump has his own 'strike zone' and not every ball park's dimensions outside of the diamond are the same.
  4. We did have a really bad stretch like this last year before the All Star Break. It just feels like we'll never win another game with the way things are going right now.
  5. No, this is exactly the same team from last year with all of the same flaws just without a good bullpen to mask the starting pitching problem. The Brewers offense is about as good as it was last year maybe a bit better with the addition of Grandal. Losing Coles has had no impact on the Brewers offense. Though some on here had the opinion of losing Cole and replacing him with anyone would improve the Brewers offense. Reality is that Aguilar, Shaw and others are the same players as they were last year no difference. This offense might be the same save Grandal but Shaw and Aguilar both are lost at the plate and show no signs of breaking out any time soon.
  6. It almost seems like those guys are coached to throw their elbows out and get plunked...
  7. Brewer baseball has been less than wonderful on this road trip, frankly. We haven't gotten many breaks but we've screwed up too. Like I said in another GDT thank goodness it is still June and we have a lot of baseball to be played.
  8. He is the worst. I pray we don't see him and this officiating crew for a while now...
  9. I suspect he is who he is: a dynamic defensive shortstop who is below average and streaky as hell at the plate.
  10. Well, I suppose if the team is going to go thru a tough stretch I'd rather it be now instead of September...
  11. The sky isn't falling but it's raining real hard.
  12. Braun at this point in his career has no business hitting 3rd. I'd switch Yelich and Braun at the very least.
  13. And Moose seemed to be one of the few guys who were hitting the ball lately...
  14. The Cubs also losing was the only good thing about last night for sure. I had another commitment last night for most of the game so I guess I didn't miss much...
  15. IMO Yelich should be hitting third (or clean-up) instead of Braun.
  16. This is also very much a hindsight is 20/20 argument. Yeah, Miley pitched very well for the Brewers last year, but you forget that he also missed a good chunk of the season with two DL stints. Chacin was good and dependable all season. There would be no reason whatsoever to trade or otherwise get rid of a pitcher coming off the year he did. Yes, Chacin, Freddy and Burns have been disappointing so I hope Stearns addresses starting pitching sooner rather than later. Our bullpen will be burned out my the Independence Day at the rate we are going...
  17. Why was the ump in the infield there instead of on the other side of the bases?
  18. Why did they not have Chacin pitch in the minors a couple of games instead of just inserting him as the starter right away?
