    I thought you were going to saw that this picture shows why Jean Segura isn't much of a hitter. No kidding. Segura has a decent arm and is fast but what good is that speed when he rarely gets on base? With all the talent in the minors at SS its too bad we couldn't move Jean - unless nobody wanted him.

    There was one shot from a camera on the first base side which showed his foot a couple of inches off the bag. BA even mentioned it but they never showed it again on TV. Don't get me started on strike zones...

    You don't like them? I've seen worse on other teams.

    All I can say about this is what took them so long? I feel bad for Lohse personally but that poor guy just doesn't have it any more. Things are sorry enough without trotting him out there every 5 days and watch hitters knock his pitches into the bleachers.

    Would any team this side of perhaps the Yankees want anything to do with his baggage and salary?

    Trying too hard? I wonder if he's feeling he has to carry the load now that we traded away so much of our meager offense...

    We shouldn't even bother pitching to Rizzo right now. He's the only guy that is really killing us. Its bad enough Lohse is starting tomorrow. I say don't throw him anything he can hit even if you walk him 4 times. I'd rather see him standing at 1st base than trotting around the bases while Cub fans in Miller Park are cheering for another HR.

    Nobody is gonna want anything to do with Lohse.

    I agree. The Pirates know they are getting a half year rental with Rami retiring at the end of the season and we get a pitcher we can develop. Good luck and beat those Cardinals Aramis!

    I got this impression as well. Luc is preaching to the choir here - the Brewers are a small market team that can't afford to make a lot of mistakes in FA or the draft. When we do we have seasons such as this. He wants to win as do we all. I would have been disappointed if he wasn't with the way things have been going lately. Perhaps a new GM will change our fortunes.

    Another thing I got a kick out of was when the cameras were on the guys in the AL dugout while Aroldis Chapman was launching 100+ fastballs. They are all glad to a man that they weren't in the batter's box!

    I really hope they don't put Braun in the game. I don't want one of our All-Stars booed and he will be for sure.

    Me too. I watch baseball for entertainment and I want to be entertained. I'm sure some players will be dealt and I'll miss them but I don't want us to tank the season for a draft pick either. I'm sure we'll end up with a top 10 pick and I can surely live with that.

    I wish we could have seen Giancarlo Stanton in that exhibition last night. That would have been a treat too.

    The homers are coming so fast and furious Berman can't say back back on every one. That alone makes this format better.

    If you read comments about Braun in the All-Star Game on the MLB website fans talk about him like he is this terrible monster who is a lying, cheating scumbag who ruined the life of the man who kept his sample over the weekend. The hate and vitriol for him by some fans is so far off the charts it is ridiculous. You would think Braun was a serial murderer for heaven's sake.

    But it can't be fun for him to be playing in his home town's park and get booed like he is every time he goes up to the plate... I doubt he'd ever get voted into another all-star game again. It was just so stupid of him to lie about it. Often it is the lies and cover-up that is the bigger sin that the original infraction.

    I know we will be moving him soon but I will miss him big time.

    Every time I watch him he reminds me more and more of Jared Weaver. Not spectacular stuff, but still a low to mid 90's fastball, a funky delivery with deception, and good control I have no idea how he had an 8.00 ERA at AAA. Perhaps it was because he was in Colorado Springs?

    Yes, but short of releasing him outright what else can we do with him? Send him to Colorado Springs?

    I don't know if blowing the team up will cure all of our ills either. We need to replace the top of rotation and find a long time answer to 3rd and 1st base. This year especially Lohse and Garza have been brutal. Besides Broxton the pen has been pretty good. Frankie is getting long in the tooth so finding someone to save games is needed long term. Lind is a nice player but is no spring chicken and Ramirez is retiring. I like a lot of the youngsters playing right now. Even tho we were horrid to start the year there are silver linings to these dark clouds.
