  1. Embrace Braun. He isn't going anywhere. Nobody is gonna take him off our hands and live with his baggage. I almost want him to go back on the juice...
  2. This is what drives me crazy. I can understand how hitters go into slumps or your pitcher can't find the plate at times but when supposedly professional baseball players screw up doing things little leaguers are taught not to do over and over again something just isn't right in that clubhouse and its been an issue for a while now.
  3. Yes, MA isn't going to say that publicly. What good would that do besides make the fans happy?
  4. He hasn't been wonderful by any stretch but Garza wasn't the reason we lost last night.
  5. It is stunning how poorly the Brewers run the bases. I've been watching Baseball for over 40 years and I've never seen a team as inept at baserunning as the 2012-2015 Brewers. I've never even heard of a team being this bad at it. Game after game these kind of mistakes happen. You are right there is no accountability. Little Leaguers don't screw up like this.
  6. I was glad for the guys to finally get off the schnide. I'm sure losing game after game was wearing on them all. Lohse and Broxton looked pretty good out there and Lind is still getting hits. The guys were wearing yellow jerseys today so perhaps they should wear them again tomorrow?
  7. We watched the Reds' broadcast and their announcers were pretty good. A million times better than those clowns who call Pirates' games.
  8. I suppose he doesn't want to throw his GM and manager under the bus in public but if he doesn't see that changes in management have to come about Mark is no better than Selig was.
  9. We might know what to do to turn this ship around but none of us are running the club.
  10. What I don't understand is why he doesn't come charging out of the dugout to make a scene about it. He's obviously really really pissed & frustrated... why not try to inspire some fight with a good ol' fashioned Bobby-Cox-style-blow-up? It appears from what Matt and Rock said on the broadcast tonight that isn't RR's style. And his impassive demeanor is showing in his players' approach throughout this disaster. Teams really are a reflection of their HC/manager.
  11. So it's bad managing because the player left the bat on his shoulder? Got it. With Scooter's injury we really can't send him back to Colorado Springs.
  12. Late last season we had problems getting a run across the plate with a guy on 3rd and only one out. We just couldn't even get a freaking fly ball to drive that run home.
  13. Once the season has commenced you are stuck with it unfortunately. You can cancel it within 30 days this year. I think the day of reckoning is coming up quick.
  14. Plus it would be nice to bring in someone who has had some success managing elsewhere. Let's not do what the Packers did all those years hiring old Lombardi players to recapture the magic of the 60s.
  15. If the Crew loses again tonight my hubby is gonna cancel MLB Extra Innings. I know they aren't fun to watch but if he does cancel it we are stuck with the Marlins' games instead. Which would be worse?
  16. If we were scoring some runs we wouldn't be losing like this.
  17. What exactly is in his injury? We don't get the Brewer's post game show on MLB Extra Innings. Perhaps having a few days off could do him some good.
  18. Whole different scenario. The Marlins gave out Franchise contracts to Stanton and Yelich failed on Ozuna(which I think is better for them) Made trades to get Gordon and Haren and Latos plus some more I'm sure. They are a franchise with public scrutiny and this was to be a resurgence to drive ticket sales that are bleak to begin with. Now with this start, a roof that allowed rain to fall because of how slow it is, it's not encouraging to be a bandwagon fan and see some games, buying some tickets. So yeah, Showing that the Front Office is willing to make a move might keep the bandwagon/casual fan interested in the team....Especially because Jose Fernandez will appear for them some time in June. There isn't a fanbase here in Miami like in Milwaukee. I still believe Loria will sell the franchise when he can, but it's value is going to depend on the fans filling the seats. They have a young exciting core of players, and if they draw less than the first few years of the stadium this year and next, I can't fathom, how that franchise value doesn't dwindle. Loria is probably shooting for 650mil maybe 700mil on a sale. I think I read it's valued around 550 as of last year? You lose fans and it turns to 450mil vs gaining fans and hitting that 650/700 range? It's all strategy for them. Rather than the highlights be of Soccer for 3mins and then a 30sec blip about the Marlins losing, It'll be 3min of Marlins coach fired, and a daily dose of another 2-3min daily of the search for a new manager leading the way. Meanwhile, one hopes the team wins with being in the news to keep interest in them vs being thrown on the backburner. They consider southwest FL to be in the Miami Marlins and Tampa Rays markets so we get all of their games. The attendance for both teams is sad, frankly. I was thinking with the new park in Miami the attendance would improve. I like the Marlins and their announcers. We watch their games when the Crew isn't playing. If indeed their manager is on the hot seat it is a wonder why RR is not.
  19. We are stuck with Braun. Nobody is gonna take that contract with that baggage.
  20. He could suck. He could downright suck. But at least he's shown busts of having power. Rather give him a chance to see if he can do it frequently. He can't be any worse than what we've witnessed so far this season from the other guys.
  21. Just curious, does that solve anything? Of course not it doesn't matter at all. The team has already dug themselves into a hole and won't finish .500...it isn't like changing the manager will take us to the playoffs. It does say that the Brewers know the team is garbage and run badly on a coaching level. Not that the coaching staff is the only problem or even the biggest problem...but it is the easiest to change. Just to be clear it isn't like I am calling for him to be fired after this week. I can't go to summer games so it doesn't effect my ticket purchasing until August RR should have been given a pink slip after last season's epic collapse.
  22. You haven't listened to the Pirate announcers for 3 days...
  23. Who is your provider? I know DirecTV has both home and away feeds. Id imagine other providers do too. Not sure if its a Directv only thing either, but I get MLBTv with Extra Innings, so I can pull FSN Wisconsin feed that way too We have Comcast cable down here in southwest FL.
  24. It is shocking how almost every guy in the lineup is struggling at the plate. Often a player or 2 will go into a funk for a few games but rarely do you see most of the players stink all at the same time on a ball club. In the game tonight when we fell behind 3-1 after one inning it almost felt like we were a dozen runs behind and I had no faith they'd make a game of it at all. How long can this go on?
