  1. Dude's not a bad player. Never has been. He's reverting to career norms. Wasn't he known as a streaky hitter in Boston?
  2. I hope he didn't get hurt last night. We don't need more bad news injury wise for Wisconsin teams right now.
  3. This couldn't happen to a more deserving club. They have been a pain in the tail forever so seeing them struggle makes me smile.
  4. Yes, but I wouldn't be surprised if we later learn the Cubs, hitters just swung at anything just to get the hell out of there in the 9th.
  5. If Woody wasn't pitching today that would have been the pitcher for CC to send up there...
  6. I was at the game and saw him up close. I didn't know he was 15 years old. I remember when Zack Davies first started to pitch for us. I was at a sports bar without sound and I didn't know who he was but I kept wondering why they were repeatedly showing the bat boy in the dugout the night before his first start!
  7. Was Lopez in the game at the end? He should be in there instead if your opponent is gonna foul instead of Giannis.
  8. This couldn't happen to a more deserving bunch!
  9. I completely agree...pitching wins in October and these starters combined with days off that will allow for Williams, Hader, and maybe one more strong pen arm to be going in almost every game won't need many runs to win 4 times in 7 games. Plus just having Woodruff, Burnes, or Peralta to turn to in an elimination game gives me a lot more confidence than somebody like Marcum or Chacin. this
  10. I was one of those who couldn't understand the talk around here and elsewhere of trading Hader.
  11. I think the Cubs are off today so we can get a half game up if we can win this afternoon.
  12. They had to break that losing streak sooner or later. Hopefully we can get back on track tonight. The only good thing is the Cubs lost too...
  13. You are not alone.
  14. I have no answers but if any of you gentlemen were in Stearns' shoes what would you do to fix this mess? It is pathetic to have a club with the worst batting average in the majors.
  15. GMTA Somebody has to tell Stearns our problem right now is we can't hit our way out of a paper bag. Just because a team is having offensive problems, it doesn't mean they should ignore the pitching staff. Of course but it is difficult to win when you can't score more than 2 runs a game no matter how good your pitching staff is. These offensive issues have been with us for a while now.
  16. After the Cubs just got swept by the Mets we are still in first place...
  17. GMTA Somebody has to tell Stearns our problem right now is we can't hit our way out of a paper bag.
  18. Not having Wong, Cain and Shaw in this lineup is beginning to show.
  19. I hope he is back out there soon.
