    Assuming Gasser is done, real good job from him tonight. Feel good about him being part of the rotation next year.

    We worked two full counts and a walk that inning. they’ve been selectively aggressive on the bases. i have no idea on the defense

    He’s getting too much of the plate for my liking but yeah, didn’t see anything alarming from Gasser there. A lot of soft contact and buckled down with the bases loaded

    Ortiz was the only one who seemed nervous to me. Gasser lost one hitter. Contreras challenged a really close pitch trying to help out a young pitcher in his first start

    Going into today we were tied for 2nd in the DS in runs. It's just been a low scoring round. That said, real uninspiring start. This first inning for Gasser is so huge.

    I know, but there were plenty of times to use him last night and they didn't. For Mitchell with a couple on after he'd put together terrible at bets. For Ortiz in the 8th, went with Hamilton instead. If you want him on the bench as a pinch hitter, then use him. I'd like him to get a start or two per series especially with Bauers swinging the bat terribly. But at the very least use him off the bench. It's not like he can't hit righties.

    If Vaughn isn’t going to start any game, no real reason to have him on the roster.

    This year's team is better. Last year they had two huge hot streaks and were otherwise i slightly above average team. This year has been all about responding to adversity and they've excelled at bouncing back after losses. Unless Gasser comes out and gets shelled in the first two innings, I think we end it tonight.

    I think they were giving Bauers an opportunity to showcase himself in his last year, and they'll do the same for Vaughn next year as our primary 1B. Then they'll hope some of the young guys are ready by 2027 Just my opinion, but I do think the player centric culture could be at play here.
