  1. Win tomorrow and not only are we are but I also believe we pass STL for the 7 seed. Unless they have to play their DH and win both to end 31-29.
  2. In their case, adversity = stupidity. They have gotten what they deserve, but the sad thing is, their competition has had to pay the price for their stupidity as well. Screw the Cardinals, now and forever. In their case, their stupidity can get them up to three extra home games. Last night, and the potential doubleheader on Monday. They played all ten of their games against the Cubs at Wrigley. But they should still have to go to Detroit on Monday.
  3. It's really odd to hear the announcers keep praising STL for overcoming adversity without bringing up the Marlins once.
  4. I'm happy to get a full year of Narvaez next year, probably in a platoon with Pina. Unlike Avi who has kind of been up and down throughout his career, Narvaez has been a consistent producer every year as a hitter and has really improved his defense this year. This is an aberration.
  5. The virtual fans are not very realistic. #RyanBraunForever and whatever hashtag we have for Vogelbach.
  6. Last two guys have hit it hard. Maybe we're due some hits. But I said that last night as well.
  7. He's had some bad luck. I think he's top 10 in the league in exit velocity. He's also striking out WAY too much.
  8. Yeah I can't believe this interview is happening in the field. Dugout, sure why not? In the outfield though?
  9. Good inning Woody. Glad to see you keep grinding even though the announcer said this one was all Cardinals after four batters.
  10. But he's proven he has power in previous years. He's been bad all year but not I don't think he is a bad player.
  11. Grisham keeps the dream of 29-31 and a playoff berth alive.
  12. I agree with this completely, and maybe I'm off on the tiebreakers, but it's division record, right? I've got the Phillies as 21-19, the Brewers as 18-20, and the Giants as 18-19. Assuming the Phillies go 0-2, the Giants go 0-3 (counting IP game in SD), and the Brewers go 1-1, that would give the Crew the 8 spot by virtue of beating SF in the tiebreaker. That may not be a possibility for much longer, of course. But could still go 1-1 and get in if everything goes right. Believe this is correct. We also can pass STL if we win the last two. Brewers will be 30-30 while STL is 29-29. We'd have the tiebreaker because of a 6-4 H2H record. Cardinals would need to sweep their Monday doubleheader to pass us again. A few paths in still but really need SD to hold off SF tonight.
