  9. Hes a pen guy. Get him out of the rotation already and let him grow much quicker through system. All he needs is his fastball and curve (or slider, whichever it is). Change his routine and mind set He's 20 years old. Way too soon to bail on him. The Brewers don't have unlimited amounts of quality players. He can't locate his fastball at the moment so whether he has 2 pitches or 20 is irrelevant. Kodi is walking 6.2 batters per game. Just as a reminder, Randy Johnson was walking 7.1/game at age 22.
  10. According to the Blue Jays' announcer, Medeiros is now throwing his fastball in the mid-80's with curveball in the 70's. This is really not working at all. Maybe it's time to pull the plug and go back to square one. He can't throw his fastball for strikes even dropping his speed by 10 mph.
  11. DSL Brewers 6, DSL Nationals 2 A 5 run 4th inning was more than enough to win this game for the Brewers. 15. DSL Tigers 3, DSL Brewers 2 Brewers fall to 18-37. The Marlins are the only team that does not have at least one team with a better record than the Brewers in the DSL. DSL Marlins were 7-44 going into today's game so that's not something to which the Brewers ought to aspire. Maiker Pinto got the start and went 4 innings. Freisis Adames took the loss in relief. I'll skip the pitching details today. Alberto Paulino got in the game at the end. He is 25, so not much of a prospect, but has an ERA of 0.00 for the year. Despite that, he is 0-2 with 1 blown save on the year. DSL Brewers Box Score Yorki Franco was 2-4 with a stolen base. Antonio Pinero was 2-3 with a stolen base. DSL Brewers Game Log

  18. DSL Rockies 4, DSL Brewers 1 DSL Brewers Box Score Brewers fall to 18-35 for the year. Rockies are 39-14 so you don't have to be a large market team to be successful here. Henry Medina went 6 innings and took the loss (6 IP, 10 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 1 BB, 4 K). The Brewers did manage to bang out 9 hits led by Edwin Sano (2-3, 2B) and Moises Perez (2-4, SB). 19. DSL Braves 7, DSL Brewers 2 This train has gone off the tracks. Just remind yourself that they are very young for the most part. 21. Ticker seems to be out again. Shuckers won game 2 3-1. Woodruff went the first 6.
  22. The internet is down in Jacksonville. That's why the Minor League ticker is not updating that game. Shuckers lead 3-1 after 4 and Woodruff is the pitcher in game 2.
  23. Brandon Woodruff's scoreless streak is over. He doesn't really seem to have the electric stuff he's had the last month today.
  24. This year Villar is: .298/.380/.433 MLB career: .260/.333/.385 Minors: .261/.337/.386 It depends on whether you believe this year's improvement is real. Personally, I'm skeptical he can continue this rate long term. But he seems to be a darling of DS. Maybe Arcia will be the one dealt?
