  1. I’ll chalk this up to first innings jitters but wow what a silly move when the pitcher was losing it. And it looks like Braun easily could have injured something with that slide.
  2. He wants to pitch, and that's great because that's how he SHOULD feel. I do think it was pretty funny when he added "take the HRs away and my results look a lot better." True Chase, take your problem away and there's no longer a problem. And if Kratz could run faster, he wouldn't be so slow. If you take away Broxtons strike outs and make them hits he is Willie Mays. I don’t blame Anderson wanting to pitch at all but the meh 5 innings starter is quickly becoming a thing of the past in games that matter.
  3. Small sample size obviously but Broxton UZR/150 was an absurd 59.9 this year. You need quality defenders and pinch runners this time of year so it makes sense to keep him.
  4. Shaw’s UZR/150 is -8.5 at 2B. I can’t see them going into 2019 as their starting 2B. A point that will likely be moot when Moose turns down his half of the option. The roster has a lot of questions for 2019 but I don’t really care, it’s all about now and our excellent chances to make the WS.
  5. Chase Anderson’s time with the Brewers might be done. He didn’t take being bumped very well and I’m sure this won’t help though I agree with it.
  6. Amazing how far Anderson has fallen to be off the 25 man. Ditto Peralta needs to start game 3.
  7. I’m the same way. Neither team can hit and I’d just rather not play in Colorado ever. But the Cubs are so hard to like. They scream and pump their fists when they make a simple put out.
  8. That’s the only way that guy reaches. I’m sure the Cubs will get this challenge too
  9. I used to love Matt before he became all Hollywood.
  10. Watch it on ESPN2. Much, much better. Why does ESPN have more than one broadcast of the same game? Because one is good and the other has Mendoza and ARod
  11. NA took a few steps to tag him out, it’s pretty clear that was the only play he wanted to make for whatever reason. Had he attempted a throw to first at all instead of that stupid hug the umpires might have had to think about it before ruling for the Cubs.
  12. Duh. Yeah you’re right on Rizzo. That seems like 4 hours ago.
  13. I agree. The double switch is not meant for two way All Stars. Weird moves by both managers.
  14. Having a pure pinch runner in a playoff game is smart and he did his job.
  15. It’s odd seeing a Rockies team that can’t hit.
  16. Seriously just watch the statcast broadcast. The espn one is unwatchable.
  17. Well if the Cubs lose they certainly can’t blame the umps. Do you know how much it takes to get me to agree with Mendoza?
  18. Counsel is the best manager in baseball. He wins the manager of the year award pretty easily.
  19. It was close in mid September and maybe Baez would have picked up some votes with a big game 163 but it’s not at all close now. Yelich in a landslide.
