  1. Definitely. They were talking about how great it is to have Lester for tomorrow lol.
  2. That tag was a basic tag. Why did ESPN even mention it or did I just answer my own question?
  3. I agree. Sounds like a good strategy.
  4. Then I suggest going for one of the bigger banks like JPMorgan Chase. They just increased their dividend share to .80 cents per share for the 3rd quarter of this year. Another large bank that pays a nice dividend is Wells Fargo beyond that the only other safe bet would be Apple. You might be late on the wave but the ETF AMLP has some nice dividend stocks which pays about .20 cents a share. These are all energy companies in this ETF. I have JPM, that’s the type of stock I like. I’ll look into AMLP seems up my alley too You guys know your stuff!
  5. I’m a buy and hold guy. The first stock I bought was DE to give you an idea. OK if you're going to hold then I'm curious why you are worried about the safety of the stock? If you would like dividend income that's another story. Obviously everyone's risk tolerance is different. My risk tolerance is low. Anyone who has been in the market has done well. I can't imagine this will continue so I'd like to go for high dividend low risk going forward.
  6. I’m a buy and hold guy. The first stock I bought was DE to give you an idea.
  7. That looks good too. I really want to rotate into stable dividend paying instruments. The market can't possibly keep going up and the climate feels shaky??
  8. This is obviously a loaded question, but I’ll bite and say check out PFF - the iShares US Preferred Stock ETF. Minimal upside, but low volatility and a 5% dividend yield. That’s perfect for what I have been looking for. My bond funds have been a joke so it feels like dead money. Your idea is better. I’m very overweight in BP and need to diversify.
  9. What’s the safest stock (oxymoron I know) you can buy? I’m thinking dividend aristocrat stuff like JNJ, XOM, BP type stocks. Any ideas for what will surely be a correction at some point.
  10. DeGrom has a 9.5 bWAR. It’s not anywhere close compared to Cain, Yelich, and Baez. Now there’s a most valuable and best player argument but sports writers seem to have odd criteria.
  11. DeGrom needs to be in the conversation. He having one of the all time great pitching seasons.
  12. Moose likely won’t stay on a one year deal though his 750 OPS with us might make him consider it. Schoop in no way should earn $10M from a small market team.
  13. They will get a WC slot. It would take an epic melt down to not get there.
  14. We need to sweep these guys. Even a WC means a successful season but we need to win the division if we want to go deep into October.
  15. This is so much fun
  16. Can someone explain what we should take from the run differential? We have so so offense and very good pitching? We've won a lot of close games and thus have some luck factoring in? It means we have a great game day manager.
  17. 1. All the Brewers would have needed to do was say he tweaked something and say he might be available to PH but it’s minor. I’m not sure why they didn’t do some sort of proactive PR because sitting a red hot hitter in the biggest game so far would draw questions. 2. Only the casual fan complains about bullpen moves. Everyone else knows the bullpen management has been excellent all season and is one of the key reasons we are in the thick of it. A good bullpen move and a blown save can both be true. 3. Counsel is not getting fired. That is an absolute. See number 2.
  18. That would be great if Villar wasn’t outplaying Schoop by a big margin.
  19. What a moonshot! I wish Broxton would put it together. What an asset he would be down the strectch.
