  1. Bullpen musical chairs starts again, My guess is Alexander is up tomorrow with our traditional '5 IP starters' going back to back in Teheran and Rea (now). Then down for Megill or Andrews once Alexander makes his first appearance.
  2. If we aren't going to be bat buyers at the deadline (I don't think we will) I love the idea of bringing Black up. You have enough versatile, defensively talented utility guys to cover 3rd. Would allow him to be a DH. I see no reason that Hiura or Black is not given an opportunity instead of Winker. With the huge versatility of Monasterio, Miller, Jones, even Turang between 2B and SS it may make sense to move up both Hiura and Black, while DFAing Winker and Tapia.
  3. The question is will be will Tapia be DFA or Perkins optioned? Neither are game changers but truly is a 50/50.
  4. Assuming Megill is back up tomorrow, if eligible? Wilson being ready can't come soon enough. JB looked good in his short stint and could be a filler for games like today.
  5. I know his strikeout rate is high but I wonder if Ryan Noda from the Athletics would make sense? Gets on base a ton with Walks, some power, pre-arby. I don't know how much of an extreme upgrade it would be this year but he could fill a more cost affordable role for Rowdy if we were to decide to move on.
  6. With the Hader blowback, and knowing you have an elite closer like Williams, I would definitely approach for a longterm deal beyond 2025, buying out the remaining 2 arby years. If it can be a viable deal that tacks on 2-3 more years beyond Arby years I am all for it. If we were to see a slip it's likely we would have seen it by now. Rest of your comment is spot on. The only one I would maybe consider for an extension beyond Devin is Rowdy. On the simple fact you know what you have, he is average or a little better than average at first base, and should be affordable. It would be nice to have a single position where the consistency is pretty standard. Should allow the OF and Turang Development to progress while having that known commodity at first.
