  1. Not gonna lie, between Ueck and this news, I think I'm good on baseball for a long while.
  2. Rare to say it's a guaranteed winner for the Sox but this one is.
  3. Prepare to be shocked
  4. Well now we know what Chourio's next contract will look like
  5. He wouldn't be giving this up by coming to Milwaukee either.
  6. I'm just saying, I understand it's a long shot but I don't know why we wouldn't be much more in this than the typical FA situation for these types of players.
  7. Why would we not be serious contenders here? He can only sign for international bonus money and we have shown we develop pitching prospects as well as any. There has to be a way to structure the contract that gets him to FA as a 29 yr old so that he can still make the mega pay day.
  8. Sure but that's not what was presented.
  9. Sure. To be transparent I've never forgiven him for breaking hand in '21.
  10. I could see it, I just don't think he has the mentality for the big moment. Or maybe it's a Milwaukee thing and as soon as he leaves he'll be fine who knows?
  11. Think there's a difference between regular season and postseason sadly, some guys don't have it and this isn't the first time our postseason has fallen apart in some part due to him.
  12. Someone just needs to eat innings at this point
  13. Seems like Ashby might be around the corner.
  14. If he pitches his ass off down the stretch I bet they think long and hard about it.
  15. Mutual option for '25
  16. This is likely the answer but why not both?
  17. There's a FA pitcher that some posters have clamored about who got smacked around by a Barstool blogger, hopefully he stays unemployed.
  18. Can only speak for my parents but they have enjoyed the hell out of the Milkmen games they have attended. These leagues are getting better and better in terms of quality of play and quality of life for players. One of the guys they have come to know in FL has played for the Milkmen the last two summers and has brought his young family up with him because the pay is more "doable" than it has been in the past. I'm with you, hope the stateside limits only further enhance the quality of these leagues, would love for baseball to have a localized live gate resurgence.
  19. This is the point, If Bauer still had Ace ability he'd already been signed. The reasons teams aren't taking the risks is because the juice isn't worth the squeeze. The assumption that this is a moral stand purposely misses the fact that the morals of these teams are subjective and related to the skill set in question.
  20. msn.com? Was there not an Alta Vista or Bing article you could find instead?
