  1. Another thing to note on LAD is that their rotation is heavy lefties. So that would be a bad thing as well in general for MKE. Kershaw, Hill, Wood, possibly Ryu. Also have a great closer (though not as dominant as in the past) whereas the Cards pen is kind of a mess.
  2. I know we're prone to automatically hating the Cards and rooting against them, but LAD have the most talent and have a true Ace pitcher (though Kershaw is diminished this year). We actually should be rooting for STL to get in over LAD. The Cards really aren't that good, just got hot at the right time. Doesn't mean they can't get hot again and drill us in the playoffs, as we all know too well, but chances are better vs them than LAD. Also, before any Brewers fans get too upset if/when they move that Nats game to Wrigley on Thursday instead. Just remember we got 3 extra home games from the Marlins during the hurricanes last year. The precedent is set and it was in our favor just last year.
  3. Yea I had an absolute blast at both LSU games and let's be real, the chances of UW winning it all is slim to none anyway so I'm all for these types of things for the entertainment/fun aspects of it all. The ND game at Lambeau should be great. Soldier Field I'm not too thrilled about but at least it's better than playing New Mexico at 11 am.
  4. Blown first pitched changed the whole AB. Ump has been awful both ways all night.
  5. That's what I was saying. He's rolling over pitches on the outside corner because he's literally five feet from the plate. What on earth? Probably led to him swing at two ball 4s that were in off the plate too because they didn't seem in to him. I can't say for sure how much this is different for him now than say a month ago though...someone else can go back and look
  6. Braun CAN play 1st... I should have put the word well in there. If he could play first well. He had some pretty shaky moments in his last few outings there. Wonder how much time he’s spent working at that position but right now it’d be ideal to get Granderson’s bat in there. True but it's not like Jesus is really too mobile over there himself and has had some miscues of late on D. Great point on how much Braun has practiced ith though since Jesus became a regular
  7. Braun CAN play 1st... Lefty starter today and tomorrow though. You'd probably put Santana out there if you did that. But yea could see JEsus getting Wednesay off the way he's been not so good lately. But maybe Counsel is afraid of Twitter if he does it
  8. yeah that's weak sauce missed it, what happened? Thanks in advance for anyone that takes a second to explain
  9. haha, nice. i know Arcia hasn't hit well this year, but he has had a bit of a nack it seems in these situations...
  10. darn, really thought after the stumble out there he'd be able to score. Eddy apparently thought the same and was only wrong by 45 feet.
  11. they sure have hit the ball hard so far, too bad only two runs so far. Hopefully Lester doesn't settle in from here out
  12. Not gonna lie, i thought it was gone. Just like ever Cubs fan on every fly ball
  13. Yes that's true. And I grant the argument could've been more back when it was only two teams and based on a computer formula. But now, as long as you win your conf title game with 1 loss or less you're almost a lock to make it barring something really unlucky.
  14. Sure you're not thinking of Steve Woodard? 1 hitter in his debut sometime in the mid to late 90s, was the highlight of his career
  15. Yup, everyone that freaks out that teams need to play tough non conference games for SOS to make the playoffs is just wrong. If you win out or have 1 loss while winning your conference title game you're almost for sure in the playoffs. Why make it tougher scheduling Bama, LSU, ND, etc to start every year. Or in your example, Washington playing Auburn did nothing for them. If they play Miami of Ohio instead they're fine. It's great for competition, entertainment, exposure, and generating money to play big games like that but it only hurts your chances of making the playoffs.
  16. Learned this due to fantasy as well. Moose vs Lester is .250 in 12 ABs. Vs Quintana in 46 ABs he's 261 with 3 HRs. So I'd guess Shaw plays tonight and Moose tomorrow. Shaw is 0/3 vs Lester and .071 vs Quintana in 14 ABs.
  17. Has anyone every played a double header vs two different teams? I looked at schedules. Cubs are off next Thurs as well. Nats are off Wednesday and play night game vs NYM on Thursday. Cubs fly in to play a day game vs Nats then Nats play at night vs Mets. Not a lot of options besides that or the Monday after the season and say it'll only be played if necessary.
  18. In his defense it was a really smart play by the OF to throw to 2nd instead. Many probably don't do that and he cruises right in and it's not even a question.
  19. Was prepping for fantasy playoffs and my opponents has Acuna from ATL. Did some math on his stats if extrapolated to 150 games, he's only played like 93 this year. He'd have 41 HRs, 86 RBI, 23 SBs with a slash of 293/367 and 950ish OPS at age 20. That's just crazy. Made me look at Soto as well at age 19 for 150 games. 25 HR, 87 RBI with a 298/426/922. Way less hype around these guys than Trout/harper but they're up there. Trout's first year at age 20 playing 139 games (he did get his feet wet the year before at 19 though) he had 30 HR, 49 SB, 83 RBI and 326/399/963. Harper played 139 at age 19, 270/340/817 with 22 HR 59 RBI and 18 SB.
  20. I would assume printing on stubhub would print the same barcode. So I think technically you could print stubhub tickets 100 times and sell all the copies if you found 100 people stupid enough to buy printed stubhub tickets. First one in wins the prize. It sounds like what tplush is saying is stubhub generates a new barcode and voids the hard ticket barcode. Hopefully someone can verify more. That's the problem I was getting at though. But one would think if they can void the hard tickets they could void each time printed and generate a new one? I'm not positive but I think I've bought printed Stubhub tickets or at least my friends have for various games and it's worked fine. Basically if they go away from hard real tickets this will be the only way to scalp them with printouts so they better working on a way if they don't already. Unless people are gonna go through transferring phone to phone on the street.
  21. Good info here, thanks all. Let's say someone with Stubhub print outs had to print out twice for some reason (losing them, spilling coffee on them, etc). Would each latest printout void the previous? Seems like it would.
