  1. And Rizzo's reaction that showed he knew he was out. well that's one free run
  2. yet we review all them borderline ones that don't go our way. Don't challenge a clear as day out though. And next batter is walked on a clear strike. Yet none of our players have thrown a hissy fit on the field yet for some reason...
  3. Hourly forecast seems like it could go a while too. So it's not like they can just delay the start until like 5 and it'll be fine. Might have to start and stop a few times or just cancel it altogether if the forecast holds.
  4. Hey at least Schoop smoked that ball foul. Thought this could've been an ok spot to let Williams get his feet wet as well.
  5. I know those are bad calls but we've seen them a hundred times called incorrectly when they're that close. It sucks but it's kind of the nature of baseball these days so it really shouldn't be something to throw tantrums over. For the most part our guys take them in the stride
  6. I'm not sure I've seen a Cubs game yet this year where they didn't throw a tantrum of some kind
  7. Agree, I don't see the hesitation to try Woodruff when another starter is needed. He's just as likely to do well as a trash heap pickup like Yo. with how Peralta has gone I'd really rather start Woodruff right now and give him a chance.
  8. [sarcasm]Division seems firmly in our grasp now.[/sarcasm]
  9. Yes or no on at least one pitch coming in tight on Braun? Assuming he doesn't swing at the first pitch
  10. Thanks. exactly what I was wondering and afraid of after two quick HRs like that.
  11. can only watch on and off and no volume. Is the wind blowing out significantly?
  12. You'd probably be very surprised if you look at the numbers that if this continues for several more years that he has a very legit case. Especially when you factor in playing against modern advanced players and a worldwide talent pool. He's only half way there right now though, who knows how long he can maintain this for the counting number type of stats.
  13. I prefer to have JJ available to pitch high leverage situations. I mean. Knebel had the 7, 8, and 9 guys. If we can't trust him to get those guys out...then maybe he shouldn't be trusted anytime with a lead. I had hoped he would keep JJ in, but I thought going with Knebel there was okay. Gotta assume hes not going to walk all 3 of those guys...right? Or maybe not. Yes, stop even thinking about "closer". go back to what they did when Knebel was out. Best guy at the moment and know that Jeffress is #1 in the pecking order
  14. Also, Hader couldn't come in for the two lefties at the top of the order?
  15. I'd have just left Jeffress in, guy is a machine.
  16. I find it funny that Villar was one of the most bashed and ridiculed guy on the board but now he's so beloved. Of course there's no way of knowing if it's the same folks
  17. He's also attacking the ball much better, like he's swinging to hit it hard. IDK, tough to explain as that sounds so basic but I guess it just simply seems like he's swinging much harder and with more force
  18. Player of the week, not player of the month. oh right, had month in my head because they always recite his July stats when he had the 360 OBP and 9 homers. But yea, Orioles probably should have sent him down before that and we should after a week. Personally I would have cut Chacin after his first 3 starts too
  19. Jeez I just noticed the minor leage assignment line. The guy was just AL player of the month and all star last year. Should he be batting 4th with so many other options, no. But cmon
  20. Need to move him down in the order. Can't have your slumping players batting in key spots!!!!! Oh wait, Jesus hit first inning ding dongs in back to back days, maybe moving people up and down based on the last 3 games isn't the smartest thing to do, idk It appears your referencing my post from last night. Batting .264 OBP in nearly 400 at bats isn’t a slump dude, it’s a justified minor league assignment. not one specific. there have been several that said about Jesus for the last couple weeks, dude.

  22. Adding to the end of Chorizo's plan in his post. If Arcia is still struggling at the time of Hiura's call up you can still give Schoop a lot of starts at SS as you're doing now.
