  1. Don't buy it. Not calling you a liar but he's been running just fine. Even stole a base the other day. Braun needs to stay within himself and swing at strikes. Trying to do too much and it's showing. Don't shoot the messenger man, take it up with Bob. What a hit by Walker, how about that one folks.
  2. It would be nice to get a couple Badger Mutual Insurance runs and not have to sweat this
  3. That's the difference this season, it's a lineup with a lot of average and above average, but no great seasons. Not a single OPS over .900 for any regular. Only one real blackhole though in Villar. HE's obviously contributing to the slump right now. But for like 3 weeks in August he absolutely tore the cover off the ball and the rest of the O still slumped. Also, friend of mine is listening on radio and he said Bob let it slip Braun's nursing the calf injury again. HE said it sounded like something he wasn't supposed to let out. I guess it could explain some. The last 3 weeks or so (pretty much since the hot streak and then being sat 3 of 4 days) he's looked as bad as he ever has at the plate. Way to go Thames
  4. Lefty for Sogard. CC loves that vs good harder throwing righties. And really Arcia hasn't been hitting well, so trying to get lefty in and hope to get lucky.
  5. Because if the 3 people without the phone get up to get food/bathroom they don't have a ticket to show where they're supposed to be. Correct. That's what I am concerned about. Final Four for college basketball does everything by an app. So if you have 4 on your phone you have to all go in together and then move around together to not risk issues like this. They're doing it to make scalping more difficult, so I get it but it was a bit of a concern. Especially for the UW games when obviously everyone is getting quite buzzed up before the game so you're liable to lose a person here or there.
  6. Why would they hassle you? People have tickets on their phones all the time. Yes, you may have to pull up the app and show one of the tickets to an usher. Because if the 3 people without the phone get up to get food/bathroom they don't have a ticket to show where they're supposed to be.
  7. How sweet would it be to beat STL on the last day in their house to win the division. Preferably on a PED induced HR by Braun into the Big Mac land area
  8. It did bring us Aranda and the 34 aggressive D instead of the old Bret bend but don't break D of standing 12 yds off wideouts and getting picked apart. Offensively though, yea that was never going to work here
  9. With 1 out I get it, you want to get there for the sac fly or slow roller. It is what it is, it happens. Frustrating with how the P was struggling and it might have cost us, but we got the one run they were essentially playing for anyway. With this pitch count for Glasnow you have to win this game. Hopefully Chase settles in and cruises to 6 innings 2 runs max
  10. I was just saying to someone yesterday that the greatness of Trout is seriously being underplayed in the overall media and pop culture. He honestly might be the best baseball player to ever live and he's playing right now but no one seems to care. For comparison, look at the nonstop coverage of a LBJ who is possibly the best ever too. Or the Manning/Brady debates for years. I'm not bashing that coverage per se, I'm just saying it's not there with Trout. It of course hurts that his team hasn't been a winner and he plays west coast and not for the Dodgers, but he's seriously being underappreciated by the general public.
  11. I call it karma. Haha, you nailed. And so did Jericcho. This all but assures they lose 2/3 this weekend the way this unpredictable season has gone
  12. After the rain out with no rain and the switch to the night game they can pretty much suck it. Yea for sure. From their perspective though, "brewers whine and complained about a rainout and moving a game back a few hours, now they're getting 3 extra home games..."
  13. It's in the above link. Very cheap and limited numbers due to not having enough staff.
  14. Have to think with a W tonight and getting 2/3 from Miami this weekend that they'll be sitting in a fairly good spot come Sunday night with only 13 to go from that point. Easier said than done of course.
  15. Just clicked the link to look for ticket info. Yea, I don't think they'll have trouble selling everything out at those prices.
  16. Wow, didn't see that coming. I can imagine the Cubs fans crying about this one, and rightfully so.
  17. It is embarrassing to root for a team that flies a divisional title flag, honestly You haven't noticed the Wild Card pennant on the wall? I've always thought that looked a bit weak. Plus just the general still obsession with the 82 team that didn't win it all. Fun bunch of guys it seems and heck of a run, and I know it's all we have so what choice do they have but to play it up, but the nonstop talk of it 35 years later...
  18. Do you have a source? I haven't seen anything like that yet. It wasn't that definitive. They said it that no call ups as of now but left a window open for later if needed. Overall what was laid out above is fine and I wouldn't argue with you on it. I see the logic and it's certainly a viable option. One thing I'd add a flaw in it is that Jungman/Suter would be going back to back. So your two likely bullpen heavy days will be back to back. But I just think they'll go with what they have instead of throwing someone new into the fire, short day starts here or there as needed mixed with bullpen days. That said, you might need another person like a Jungmann/Wilkerson to play the Suter role of getting 3-4 innings to start during the#5 slot when needed
  19. Let's not forget about the bullpen day in WAS that ended with Perez pitching haha Yea it worked just like you hoped last night. Lots of those middle innings had their drama though and kind of feel like we got lucky. But like your whole point said, it's not like a normal good starter doesn't get into trouble and get out of it sometime too.
  20. Yea no way they should do that, win as many as you can now and figure it out later as you go. If you don't, the later Cubs games could be irrelevant. If anything you could move him back from the last Pit game to the first Cubs game. Do a bullpen day in the last Pit game. Win now, worry about that stuff when it comes up.
  21. Yes, they're going to spend the 5 mil somewhere. But why not spend the 5 mil on a player who can be a lot more helpful. You say Feliz, well an obvious use of the 5 mil would be on trying for another solid reliever. Swarzak is sitting right there for us. Saved 5 mil by going from Garza to a 500k rookie contract, that's 5 mil more to keep Swarzak.
  22. Yea I'm sure his RBI total would be much better if during his hot streak the two batters in front him weren't the P and Villar hitting .120. But no, it's that he's a choker and not clutch.
  23. They believe something "magical" and "special" is happening right now. We forget how annoying they are. Speak for yourself, haha. I #neverforget
  24. Love the Drake, lol. In seriousness, he's about the last guy I want out there. Glad he got that out but now I'm sure they'll try to get another inning from him and I'm not exactly comfortable with it.
