    The Rams were getting blown out, with a minute left, they decided to throw a screen pass to Cooper Kupp to make sure as many linemen and linebackers as possible got a chance to turn him into a pretzel. Looks like he dodged blowing out his ankle...but he is still hurt afterwards. Pretty darn idiotic decision.

    Honestly this situation is a smidge bizarre. If Stearns really just doesn’t want to be here and wants to be elsewhere…not committing to a contract, why not just fire him? Is Mark really that in love with Stearns he is going to hold him hostage for a year, give him a free paid vacation, all so some other team has to wait 12 months? Keepng Doug Melvin around for awhile for a ‘smooth transition’ made sense…he was hitting the beach afterwards. Doing it with 37 year old Stearns is just weird, in my opinion.

    Trying to make things tougher on him? I guess that depends on what you mean. In the sense of prioritizing defense and expecting/hoping your HOF QB can pick up the slack on offense to hopefully make things happen? Yah, I think that’s kind of what the Packers are doing. It is easy to kind of neglect things when your QB play is constantly elite year after year. However, Rodgers isn’t as mobile as he once was and I’m readily is more of a pocket passer. He can’t weave in and out of defenders when his line sucks like he used to. He can use his legs to extend plays and wait for WRs to get open after the play becomes hectic with WR running random directions. They need a good line and need WRs that have the talent/skill set to get open faster and make plays in traffic. Gute has been slacking off trying to address these potential issues. Bahk being a crippled mess isn’t that shocking. Finally drafting a WR (almost) in the first round AFTER Adam’s and MVS are gone is too late. That should have been done 1-2 years ago so that guy is actually useful now.

    Oh well, can’t say I really liked his last two years here and certainly wasn’t looking forward to what he was going to do with our roster in the next two years. Glad a guy that doesn’t actually want to be here is soon to be gone. Too bad it didn’t happen last year, in my opinion.

    Well, regardless of what Watkins should have been doing, Doubs had the opportunity and should have still gotten the first down. I am guessing Doubs was surprised because the guy who ultimately went after him was the Watkins defender who made a smart play gambling Rodgers was going to throw short to Doubs. Should Watkins made a better attempt to half screen like Amari Rodgers did? Probably, because in the huddle I am sure it was pretty obvious who they were going to force the ball to. The article that analyzes the game seems to be critical of Rodgers throwing the ball to quickly on that play and others…but what does one expect when the WRs are terrible and the offensive line has been really lackluster. If Rodgers is not getting rid of the ball as fast as he has (2nd fastest in the NFL) he would probably be in a wheel chair already.

    Clearly there isn't a ton of trust with the receivers. That 4 and 1 would have been pretty classic Rodgers to fake that short throw to throw deep to Watkins. He had man coverage and the safety was in total no man's land. Instead he went with the low risk throw option to just get the first down and keep churning down the field with a new set of downs. Unfortunately, Doubs isn't good enough to make the play and drops it. Watkins route pushed the defender far enough over that he didn't get a direct run at Doubs (also slowing him down a bit), Doubs runs a good route, and Rodgers placed the ball perfectly. Doubs just couldn't catch the ball...which really isn't asking for a lot. It was such a simple and easy play to get the first down, but when you have an unfamiliar rookie it just makes everything easier said than done. This offense just isn't going to get going if it can't make those types of plays. They can bring in a WR and it will certainly help if it is a legit #1...but they aren't going to magically be a Nelson/Adams type guy that is dependable play after play. Losing Cobb, the only 'on the same page' guy, really hurts this team. I don't know that they can really fix this midseason. This is the type of thing that needed to be addressed in the offseason for it to matter this year.

    There is probably no explanation because he was giving them an autograph, but the league figured it could easily get swept under the carpet. Why else wouldn't they explain what actually had happened or why Evans didn't come out and say what happened? That would be common sense. Refs getting autographs is not an appropriate behavior to be having. Would it be appropriate for the dealer at the casino to hype you up and give high fives after you win a hand? Should a judge start celebrating and getting excited after a not guilty verdict? They are overlooking the game and are the impartial judges to it. Something millions is spent on weekly.

    He is the QB, he is going to make critical mistakes every single game...whether they lose or win by 40. He touches the ball on 99.9% of the offensive snaps. Aaron Rodgers is still #9 in the NFL in QB rating. But of course, we insist on constructing a team that requires him to be #1 in the NFL. We insist on assuming a HOF QB can just make terrible receivers look good.

    Rodgers is an NFL QB and one of the greatest of his time. They all have egos at that level. They all are critical of everyone else. Some guys defend Rodgers and some hate him (when former teammates talk). I really don’t think his attitude is that big of a deal. Brady is an even bigger douche bag on camera and his swims in rings. Would we prefer Rodgers pay everyone on the back and tell them they tried their best. Rodgers isn’t wrong…a ton of dudes were making pathetic mistakes in critical spots. Rodgers taking all of the heat would fix approximately zero of their issues

    Was this really a mystery though? The entire second half crap has been going strong the entire time MLF has been the head coach. His choke jobs in the playoffs are well documented. Honestly, MLF seems like a total bum who can only ride the coat tails of whatever Rodgers is doing. If Rodgers plays next year I am pretty confident MLF is long gone. Rodgers seems pretty frustrated in game and after games on how MLF is doing things. Maybe MLF isn’t a total idiot…but I can’t really come up with anything he does positive. Why keep him around? Rodgers may be the most vocal, but I am pretty sure he isn’t the only guy in the locker room wondering what in earth this coaching staff is doing.

    Refs got caught chasing Mike Evans down for an autograph. Would have been an absolutely epic moment had they won.

    More like a fantasy...not impossible they could do something...but a huge stretch. Part of the problem...the community around AFF isn't exactly filled with the type of demographic this is going to utilize such a concept. My first thought was to put in some fancy trendy apartments within it. A lot of cities these days are sticking apartments above commercial spaces...then mixing in some office space. I believe the battery was done in such a fashion. The problem the Brewers would run into is the fact the city of Milwaukee is unlikely to support it. Support it financially, that is. The trend these days is to try and pull people back downtown. A great downtown involves people living downtown and have those activities downtown. If the Brewers were in a downtown location the city would be much more likely to help with costs. I just can't imagine the Brewers investing hundreds of millions to hope it works out.

    There is a little terrier that I occasionally see at the dog park I go to. It has a vest that says 'service dog' and it loves to excessively bark at people and other dogs. Will also sometimes jump on people. There is absolutely no way that dog ever passed an accredited test by any organization that is legitimate. Additionally, no one with a service dog would go and take it to a dog park and have the vest on the dog. Those vests are not simply so other people are aware it is a service dog, it lets the dog know it is working. Unfortunately, the rules are incredibly broad on what a service dog is....and I am not sure what kind of enforcement there really is if one is found for lying about it.

    Install surround sound, buy stadium chair, and create a stadium candle. Then microwave some crummy hotdogs, get a crummy bun, and squeeze them as hard as you can. It should be impossible to put ketchup and mustard between the hotdog and that bun. Your beer option should be whatever is accurate to that stadium for that given game.

    Aaron Rodgers is fine. Considering his O-Line sucks, has absolutely pathetic WRs, and has to play through an injury because he is the only way this team can even pretend to be relevant...he has done a decent job. Is he an unworldly MVP out there, no, but Rodgers is so far from one of the issues with this team. Rodgers was the only reason they even had a chance to win yesterday. He was well on his way to leading them down the field when Sammy Watkins went full stupid on a simple 4 and 1 play. Instead, it gave easy field position for Washinton to kick a field goal. THEN Rodgers marched them down the field to score a touchdown to go down by 2 points. THEN our pathetic defense could not stop Washington to get the ball back with a decent amount of time. Heck, Rodgers probably easily trots them into field goal range had J. Alexander not been a complete idiot and tackle the dude in bounds. That alone would have afforded them realistic time to not pray for some lateral play to win it. Every time Rodgers isn't the greatest QB in the league people chuck him under the bus. Maybe we shouldn't surround him with crap and then expect him to carry the entire team on his back. Then again, the Packers have been expecting that for basically decades. Why not just expect 38 year old Rodgers to do it again and again.

    It doesn’t make any sense and someone with the team once mentioned it didn’t really seem logical. The area around AFF is garbage and no one is going to go around whatever you build.

    This isn’t just personal thing, the absolute flurry of boneheaded plays on both offense and defense is staggering…and it was on full stage today. MLF isn’t that good head coach and the rest of his coaching staff isn’t even teaching basics. A 4th and 1 Sammy Watkins is blowing a block and J. Alexander is intentionally trying to tackle a guy in bounds at the end of a game. This is veterans making impressively dumb mistakes. Will they make a change? Probably not, probably not till Rodgers retires. Whatever.

    Alright, so you don’t want to read and look at what is reported. Instead you want to make your own fake rumor quotes about Stearns being interested in the Mets job and create some conspiracy theory that has nothing to back it up. You are right that they shouldn’t have a lame duck guy running the team. Since we have heard absolutely nothing about the Brewers possibly dumping him I am guessing he is already extended or will be.
