  1. Well, unless the Braves comeback after their rain delay ends, that should just about wrap up the season.
  2. Well, unless the Braves comeback after their rain delay ends, that should just about wrap up the season.
  3. That was nice…real nice. Huge play by Cobb to make that TD drive possible.
  4. Impossible, we play against MIN/CHI kickers two times a year.
  5. Douglas getting clowned early on.
  6. Whoever decided to try and kick that DET field goal should be be fired. That was impressively idiotic.
  7. You ever watch football (or any sport for that matter) and see some change over the years wondering how it was ever done the way it used to be? NFL Punting: How did it take so long to realize shanking a punt out of bounds to try to pin a team deep was EVER a good idea.
  8. I got the antenna to work, finally. It just had to be moved like two feet lower on the patio door. Must have been something in the house ticking it off because that two feet made a weak 1 bar signal a full 5 bars. Thanks for explaining AirTV...I saw it, but didn't really understand what exactly it does. That will be way easier than running new cable lines in the basement...not that I won't be tearing up some walls for the bar, but at least it is one less thing to mess around with.
  9. Take it in, we may not see it for a long time. Mike Trout is probably the best shot we have among active MLB players. But even he is a solid 70ish behind Pujols had at the same age. However, as long as he doesn’t fall of a cliff like Pujols did I think he can manage. There are maybe a few young guys, but kinda soon to know. Vlad Jr. debuted young enough and has to power for it. Counting stats are becoming a bit harder to reach with batting down these days in MLB and guys usually don’t debut as young as they once had. Mike Trout doing it would be pretty incredible. It seems like it would be virtually impossible at this point for a United States born player to manage it just because they don’t get the opportunity to sign at 16 years old and be in pro ball development already. Chasing a HR stat, every year of your prime years is gold.
  10. Is there a talent gap, I mean definitely. But at some point one has to wonder why they are so poor at recruiting and developing a QB into something real. When was the last time a QB could lead them down the field with the passing game? I can’t remember the last time I watched Wisconsin down late and had any confidence the QB could make something happen. Why can one of the saddest teams in football the last decade recruit a QB out of California and turn him into Lamar Jackson…but Wisconsin can’t seem to make any QB into a reliable passer if need be? Coan and Hornibrook were decent the am extent…but if you ever need one to make a play or drive the team down the field, you might as well change the channel. Even with what feels like a lot of improvement over last year…Mertz still seems so flawed and lacking. Maybe by the end of the year he can kinda put it together, but it’s a bit shocking after all this time he still is as flawed as he is.
  11. The Badgers can’t beat OSU because they simply don’t create the type of offense to give them fits and bother them. If all we can do is run the ball, they have the talent to stop it. Many teams will struggle against Wisconsin still, but not a team like OSU. When we have zero passing game no amount of defense and running the ball to limit possessions is going to find us on top in the end. It’s hard enough to beat OSU…but if you basically have a one dimensional offense, good luck.
  12. Kansas’ QB had a better showing as a punter today than this dude.
  13. Kinda looked like he overran the ball…or I suppose Mertz under threw it a bit. But WR should have made a better effort coming back to it.
  14. Did the OSU guy break it up or did the WR just blow trying to catch it?
  15. Mertz accuracy is so impressively bad even in the short game is truly a spectacle. In a video game his anxiety/panic rating would be 99.
  16. Alright Mertz, time to make it a game and put up 7 points before half.
  17. OSU probably only kicked it so their kicker could practice his field goals in game.
  18. Oh trust me, I agree. Wisconsin has a lot to blame why Mertz has been as bad as he is. They certainly do nothing to help him. I can’t imagine how long it will be before another high end QB recruit thinks about going to Wisconsin.
  19. Sure, I wasn’t just referring to just today. All last year it seemed to be a point of note how the O-Line just wasn’t what they usually are.
  20. So like, the two most important traits for a QB to have?
  21. Not a Badgers fan either…but they should be able to put up a way better effort than this. They have done it against OSU before. Were they destined to lose by three TDs? Yah…but they were down 28-0 barely over a quarter into the game. Yah, Mertz isn’t good at all. There O-line really hasn’t been that great for a few years now despite a stupid amount of high recruit…kinda strange.
  22. I think people probably expected a slightly better showing than Arkansas State did.
  23. They wouldn’t fire PC over losing to OSU. They just don’t care enough to beat elite Big Ten teams. All Wisconsin wants is consistency and bowl appearances. They like PC because he is loyal and won’t leave. It would be too risky to find a better coach, have riskier game plans, or recruit different. They just want to play good defense and run. Win 7-9 games and call it a season after a bowl season. I mean, I don’t blame them, but that’s the reality. It honestly looks like the Badgers coaches and players didn’t even come to try and win the game. Looks like they were practicing for a more winnable game after this week. Talent gap or not, they are getting embarrassed. Plenty of teams take these elite schools to the wire and don’t get clowned 5 minutes into the game.
  24. The game was early before the Badgers season even started, let’s be honest. And PC couldn’t beat an elite Big Ten opponent if his life depended on it. When was the last time the Badgers beat Penn St, OSU, or Michigan when they were having an elite season?
  25. Erm, what does Matt Arnold have to do with this? This is on Stearn’s regardless of what your opinion is.
