  1. Honestly, can’t imagine we manage to win the super bowl with the pathetic ST. Eventually it will bite us. Maybe not today, but feels like it will eventually. So many brutal ST plays every week.
  2. Not a chance. Should have gone out of bounds though.
  3. I mean at least don’t let the 49ers blow the rest of the half AND get a TD?
  4. Rough day for Hepburn. Has as many untimely fouls and flops as he has points.
  5. I wonder if some of this is TV. The Kohl doesn't translate well energy wise. Might be camera/mic placement or something, but it feels quieter to me than a lot of arenas through the small screen. Rutgers, for example, just feels fired up all the time, even though I doubt it's that much more intense than the Kohl in reality. I mean they only have student seating behind one basket. Which, maybe that is normal for many/most teams…but certainly makes a difference when you compare it to a team that makes that area on both ends for students.
  6. I’ve been to two games, which to be fair I think were just after finals in December, but the crowd seemed very…meh. Rarely got into it and if they did it was for a very very short time. Though I really haven’t gone to other arenas enough to really gauge how different it is compared to the typical experience. Still….you’d think a match up like this at home would get people excited. Then again, I just don’t think Wisconsin basketball has that dedicated of a basketball crowd. Ya think being down in the teens has something to do with it? One game I went to was a thrilling win of NC State and the other was a drubbing of Marquette. Both crowds still felt weak overall. So…no.

  8. Gotta be honest, MJS articles sucked so bad I am used to not reading them...so...I wouldn't even tell the difference at this point. The 22 year old could at least know how to work Twitter.
  9. I remember him getting so annoyed by the simple minded fans (saying Counsell sucks after the bullpen blew a game) that he ran a few articles that were basically bashing fans and explaining why they are dumb. It was really quite strange and he couldn't stand any negativity towards the team/GM/coaches that he felt the need to defend them like his first born child way too much. A few years back he basically went on banning sprees because people didn't like how Counsell used the pitchers. His articles weren't very good, his opinions were outdated, and his insider knowledge was terrible. Pretty sure half the time his insider knowledge or belief from within the organization was him telling us his opinion based on nothing. Should have retired before social media and analytics.
  10. I am not that worried about this game. The Packers should win and I expect them to kinda control the game and probably have a comfortable lead most of the game. My concern is really the offensive line. If the 49ers get their pass rushers back and they get to Rodgers they can really ruin and/or stall a lot of drives. If we lose this game I imagine them sacking us to force field goals or sacking us out of field goal range. If they aren't getting to Rodgers I really don't see the Packers losing this game. Yah, our run defense isn't that great, but the 49ers aren't exactly a powerhouse on the ground.
  11. When I went to a Wisco basketball game in December it dawned on me that they almost surely they had a mask mandate at the arena and totally forgot to pack a mask. So I stopped at the one place I knew would have a steady stream of masks at the front door, Home Depot.
  12. Always shop around... always. I wanted to find a different company just in spite of such a dumb increase....but they are still cheapest by a good margin.
  13. Oh you are mistaken....they loooove to find ways to deny those claims. Really? That seems pretty cut and dry. Once the insurer receives a death certificate, they should be able to process the claim. My first job out of college was in a sales role for a large life and annuity company. Do they push complicated, fee-laden products on people who don’t need them? Absolutely. But I don’t recall any clients having issues with claims. In the instances I have heard of close to me, usually technicalities regarding health history. One got screwed by stuff buried ridiculously deep in the fine print. Like they needed some dumb screen for cancer or something like that covered in the end.
  14. Insurance is such a scam, but you have to have it. Car, life, health, etc. The most annoying part is I supposedly have "small accident forgiveness under <$500". I window chip repair is like $75. So why am I getting a price hike. Disclaimer: No, I never had any hope an insurance company would actually grant me forgiveness. Sucks they are easily the cheapest I can get and I have racked up $400 in deductible savings. Of course, not like another company won't just be as dumb.

  16. My car insurance went up almost 20%....because of a window chip repair claim....
  17. That’s basically saying they will lose to Ohio State and win every other game. Yah, I don’t see that unless Mertz has a major breakout year. They will win 8 or 9 games while losing a couple that they shouldn't. It's Chysts MO. Good coach but far from a great one With an iffy QB, yah. Mertz is just not good enough of a game manager and much too mistake prone to edge out the wins with PC’s methodical style. As much as people hate guys like Horni and Coan, they were the kind of QB’s that maximize success with PC/Badgers football.

  19. I think I would take my chances with the Bucs. I am taking the 44 year old QB and the lesser running game. Though seeing three warm weather teams remaining is nice.
  20. Oddly the Packers/49ers game is a real good comp of a team doing one last play over the middle with no timeouts. Packers had 16 seconds, Cowboys had 14 seconds. Packers were downed with 11 seconds left, the Cowboys with 9 seconds left (Packers passed). Both plays went for about the same amount of yardage, I believe too. Yet the Packers were easily able to spike the ball with 3 seconds left and the Cowboys were a good 4-5 seconds worse. Not sure the o line is at fault or them not handing the ball to the ref was a problem. The right thing to do is try to place it well yourselves and get set. The ref can just come and touch the ball at that point (that is what happened in the Packers game). The Cowboys placed it about 2 yards too far though and was enough to bother the ref, who then proceeded to move the ball....though he almost replaced it in the same spot. Really, a lot of it, simply comes down to a poor choice on the Cowboys/Prescott to run that play and blow any chance to win the game. Their QB simply had poor clock management and failed to just slide after 10 yards.
  21. Not sure McCarthy is really the guy to blame. Prescott is the one who messed up. He was the guy that ran as far as he could before he was going to get tackled. There is simply no excuse, at all, that someone like Prescott is not aware of the situation. Burning nearly half the remaining time running down field is a fail and why they lost. He didn’t leave enough time to. I will say I have thought the refs did slightly screw them. The ref that had to touch it was standing in his original spot watching the entire play go downfield. I think…if I saw the replay on TV correctly last night. He should have had common sense and been running with the play knowing how much time was left and he had to touch the ball. Not blaming the refs, not the crime of the century…but unfortunate if you are the Cowboys. Also think Prescott messed up spiking it in the end. They almost got the snap off before zero, but no where near having time to spike it. At that point he should have just taken the snap and prayed his guys started running/blocking. think one WR actually did.
