  1. I mean you can buy a single season seat for 20 games and get a load of perks and be a 'season seat holder'.
  2. Y'all really showing your age wanting Polka Pike and Supper Clubbers. I don't think they are trying to entice the local nursing homes with the name.
  3. "A slang term for a goose that does not migrate in the winter, instead preferring to stay in its home city, the Sky Carp name represents the city of Beloit -- a flourishing, innovative town so vibrant and strong that no one wants to leave." LOL
  4. Thanks. And what was wrong with Snappers? These name changes and similar gimmicks are how these minor league teams boost profits big time. The names are stupid/funny/gimmicky because that is what sells. For instance, Wisconsin Udder Tuggers, caused such a craze they had orders from every single state in the entire country plus many countries around the world. I remember the Biloxi Shuckers name drew a lot of national merch purchases when they first started.
  5. This was literally the only option of their final five that sounded even remotely decent and could make a decent logo out of.
  6. No need to take it that serious guys. Did I miss why they are holding this one? Wasn't the last one for the 600-700 level addition? I thought these have always had an end goal for the money raised. Unless I skimmed through the article too fast, I didn't see any specific use for it.
  7. $300 for a piece of paper...a sucker is born every day. They can make up to $90mil in return for some minimal printing costs. lol
  8. I've noticed that different time zones do things at different times. For example, I noticed that in all three of my Central Time zone based jobs, most people start work at 8AM. But for the people I've worked with in Detroit (GM, Ford, etc.) often started at 9AM. I'm assuming at least part of that is because TV shows run at the same time in those timezones (news at 10PM central/11PM eastern), but maybe there are other reasons local areas seem to trend differently like that. Definitely, in my experience the Midwest runs an hour earlier than the rest of the country. I noticed it when I briefly lived on the east coast. On the west coast it varies...some people have to get up early if their company has offices on the east coast. But generally the work culture of the Pacific NW is way more laid back, I think it's more accurate to say that people start work later and leave work earlier than elsewhere I noticed it because of the common phrase (9-5). I thought to myself, who starts at 9? Doesn't everyone start at 8?
  9. Kinda sad to see him go, just a solid MLB level catcher…but $4mil a year and 2 year assured it was time to move on.
  10. I hope they stay at 4 teams. Every game is a playoff now. It makes college football exciting. For every undefeated non-Power 5 team they let in, they’ll add three more 2-loss SEC teams. No thanks. This really doesn't make sense to me. If that were the case every game would be exciting until you lose...then it would not be exciting and actually be more like meaningless. I am not sure how adding more teams takes away from the importance of every game. Maybe if you are Alabama and you pretty much will be an auto bid forever...but for any other college team it makes every game more meaningful because there is a sliver of error that can happen without your playoff dreams crushed. I am not sure how many fans enjoy the reality of one loss (many years and for most teams not perennial elites) ending any chance at the playoff. The only argument I really see for not expanding is if ones belief is the reality that the talent gap is so big its a waste of time as those teams will always lose. However, I think occasionally one of those teams could run the table to shock the sport AND March Madness shows those teams don't necessarily need to win it all or even win more than one game to be a success. Imagine Cincy beating Clemson or Georgia in a playoff game. Imagine UCF from a few years back beating an elite school in the playoffs. That would be historical even if they got blown out in their next game.
  11. Ironically in this case I would argue he got the exact opposite. The only reason he is in trouble and being punished is because Rodgers will get the attention that the NFL then needs to defend so they don't look bad. I mean Lazard probably doesn't get fined if not for Rodgers...because people just don't care about Lazard players. You can't tell me Rodgers is the first guy to break protocol...it is just no one else was worthy of generating a bunch of attention over it. Even Rodgers wasn't in trouble until a media problem existed.
  12. That seems really light. We should consider ourselves fortunate. Fire up the printer. The Packers need to sell 1,200 shares of stock to cover their fine. No, it seems exactly right. The NFL doesn't really care...glad the punishment reflected that.
  13. I mean Jordan Love is pretty much doomed because Aaron Rodgers didn't decline. If Aaron Rodgers would have been declining the last few years and not looked that special the expectations would have been a lot lower....he could have simply been a draft bust and that would have been that. We could have been like, "Well Rodgers was declining and we weren't really a big Super Bowl contender anyway. We didn't miss out on much going this route." However, now it looks like we are set to dump a MVP level QB and years of Super Bowl contention for Jordan Love. Now Jordan Love needs to be good, really good. The dude needs to be good enough not to just get us to the playoffs, but be good enough to lead us to a championship. Anything less and we will forever look back and wonder how we royally screwed this situation up. It is too soon to say what Love will end up being. That being said his first start was atrocious. People can try to sugar coat it with a few plays, but it was terrible. I guess what is concerning is the fact I just haven't seen a lot of promise when he has taken the field in the pre season or his first start. Yah, he does something here and there...but even the biggest busts in NFL history can do that. People can point out his career so far has had limitations due to COVID, but he still has been much better prepared than most incoming QBs tend to have these days. Many get thrown into the fire right away. Jordan Love has gotten to sit behind Rodgers and learn the entire team for a year+. He has still had multiple off seasons to learn and prepare. Again, not saying he won't be successful, but it has been a bit concerning so far. Even if he does work out it looks like that could be years away. Hopefully he doesn't show some promise right before he hits FA and we get into one of those awkward situations where we pay him a massive contract in desperation just to watch him become a Kirk Cousins or Mitch Trubisky.
  14. Name: Connor Dawson Title: Official Fan Punching Bag
  15. It should also be noted Aaron Rodgers did not start either game. Thus, did not practice all week with the starters...nor did he really expect to play meaningful football going into said games. That feels like a big difference compared to Jordan Love...who got a ton of practice with the main starters all pre-season, during pre-season, and then most of the week leading up to the Chiefs game.
  16. Definitely touched him
  17. Jordan Love has been terrible. How he doesn’t have a INT is amazing.
  18. It’s kind of pathetic the NFL is going to investigate Rodgers/Packers for something like not wearing his mask at press conferences. This is something they knew every single time he did it…but now they feel the need to go after them? Just so dumb.
  19. Here is the thing, Rodgers can do what he wants. He says he couldn’t take two of the vaccines and the other had questionable side effects that seemed way worse than what he would experience just getting COVID. He also doesn’t and didn’t have to divulge his decisions back in August. I guess COVID suddenly makes it okay to force people to list out their personal health information and decisions? He told the people that needed to know, which the media/you/I are not in said group of people that need to know.
  20. The NFL has known his status this entire time. They could have disciplined him all this time. Doing something now would make no sense and be pretty pathetic on their part.
  21. Matt LePay gone? Somehow less BA equals a good thing. I’d be upset if they continued the dumb randomness of previous seasons. BA for 50 games and ONE guy doing the rest is great.
  22. Just so everyone is aware, the entire interview appears to be well over half an hour. So before you judge everything by the headliner quotes (really not even half quotes of full sentences) to get clicks and get people riled up you may want to actually watch the interview.
  23. To be fair, I don't think it is an impulsive thought if you basically double down on it and don't regret it.
  24. Imagine being dumb enough to tweet this: He then tweeted this all while turning off commenting on his Twitter posts... https://twitter.com/0fficialC2N/status/1456245960498089985
