  1. 49ers will have to play pretty perfect to beat the Packers, in my opinion. Just not convinced Jimmy G. can walk into Lambeau and beat the Packers without flawless no turnover football.
  2. No idea why they would do that right there. They were plenty close. I mean heck you could argue 10 more yards was worse. It’s almost too far for a real play to the end zone and to close to loft a good ball up for a Hail Mary.
  3. Prescott is an idiot.
  4. What a dumb penalty for Dallas to commit.
  5. My god these announcers are annoying. They are acting like this drive is the end of the freaking game.
  6. You are paying for house maintenance as a renter plus more. That’s how people make a living renting out houses. Your housing cost then rises with inflation and you have nothing in the end of it. Yes, a lot of the equity is blown via repairs and improvements. But it is forced savings (if you end up selling) or the potential at very cheap housing cost come retirement.
  7. Hurts mightily sucking.
  8. Kinda feels like a year where a younger QB breaks through with their career defining Super Bowl win. When you look at it the AFC only has two Super Bowl winners and they play each other right off the bat. On the NFC side it’s just Rodgers and Brady. Unless I am missing someone. I could see a Super Bowl with two QBs that have never won it all…or even made the super Bowl.
  9. This makes me think, what is the best sports year in state history that does not include a championship by any of the big three? I mean...what are even the options? 2008? Brewers finally make the postseason again and Rodgers has a pretty darn good first year starting leading to hope he was a legit replacement? Bucks and Badgers football was really lame though. I mean anything pre Attanasio and then pre-Favre is pretty depressing. Hard to find two of the big three franchises actually doing good in the same year. 1982 would be dang close if the Bucks would have made the conference finals a year sooner.
  10. So you are saying I should take my college ID out of my wallet? The minute you do that, you know someone is going to ask for two forms of photo ID. Gotta hold onto it for those stray chances you hit up a restaurant with 10% apps for college students.
  11. Right, it’s a pretty subjective matter. Even if one just looked through the eyes of someone who is a fan of every team evenly in the state, I don’t think it is anywhere near 2011. In my opinion.

  13. The only way this year ranks #1 or even in someone's Top 5 is if you are a bucks fan. The Packers year was just plain depressing because they lost the NFC Championship again to most people and the Brewers year, while nice, wasn't overly special since they have started stringing together extended success. 2011 should honestly be the runaway winner. You had a Packers Super Bowl win, which I would argue may have been a more special/impressive run than the Bucks. I mean, the expectation for the Bucks was to win it all...anything short was a failure. I mean without a half crippled Nets team to face they might not even make the finals. When that Packers team went into the playoffs they were a WC that had to win every game on the road. Rodgers was still unproven in the playoffs so the result for that year was wide open. You then had the Brewers awesome division title and NLDS win, a Badgers Rose Bowl appearance, Badgers Sweet 16. Of course, that is just my thoughts....obviously this kind of thing is really subjective to what you care about as far as the sports go.
  14. The guy was already arrested, right? And his record probably even spans past that. Most, not all, but most criminals are kinda dumb. That is why they do illegal things.
  15. I'm not even sure a lot of folks are waiting for anything. There's a major shifting demographic with more people not having kids at all, getting married later...I think way more people are now just happy to rent perpetually and not deal with any of the burden that can come with a house. I think a lot of people are for sure, social media would certainly confirm many have that thought process. Of course a lot of it might just be jealous people trying to put people down because they bought a house and they can't. Because, you know, the internet.
  16. If you have plenty of money to put down 20% and still have a ton of reserve funds I think most should avoid PMI. If you can't put down 20% or it would greatly reduce reserve funds, depends on your credit score, honestly. If you have a great credit score (like 740+) it can be pretty minimal. I think mine equates to about $7,500 over 8-9 years. That is a pretty minimal cost considering I put down about $7k instead of $47k. Of course if your credit score is pretty rough PMI can start approaching $300. If it will take you years to get 20% to put down, one can argue housing appreciation and/or interest rates can cost you just as much though. Now one could put less down and invest the rest, potentially making more in the long run. However, that is getting pretty complicated and far from a sure thing. I think I would just take the sure thing where I pay no PMI and then spend less over the life of the loan in interest.
  17. A literal zero percent chance. Infrastructure that MLB controls makes it impossible, especially if they can hold MiLB stadiums hostage on top of it.
  18. I mean is Wisconsin actually a Top 10 team? No, but neither is probably half the current Top 10. Early season you nudge out a lot of wins, pick up a few big wins, and avoid losses...that gets you up the rankings pretty quick. Yah, they have been incredibly lucking to have every close game, minus one, go their way. Reality could swing the other way and come back down to earth...or it may be a characteristic of the team.
  19. If you started doing that from Day 1 in reality you are only saving a bit over a year worth of payments. I have never really been a huge fan of this concept. Throwing that extra payment into retirement savings, especially early on, would be a way more logical than putting it towards the mortgage. Especially for loans taken out in the last 10+ years or now. The interest rates just aren't very high anymore. I just did a really basic exercise and it looked like the extra payment would save about $13,500....investing it and averaging 8% had it over $100k. To be honest, I don't see a ton of value in finishing 3.5 years sooner. You are pretty used to it after 25 years and by the time you would pay it off early it would hardly matter a in all likelihood. Your salary is likely much higher and it is likely your only real debt at that point. Now of course if one was in a situation where they are trying to pay it off before some massive notable life event (kids entering college or trying to pay it off before retirement), then I can understand chasing to rid yourself of that debt. Of course some of these ways to strategically help pay off a mortgage faster aren't allowed by some lenders. My lender won't let me put extra payments towards principal-only and I also can't go into a bi-weekly payment plan. So while both of those can be sound ways to pay it off faster, not always allowed these days.
  20. I opted not to try and powersave a big down payment. When I bought my house a little over a year ago I figured 2-3 years wasn't really going to gain me anything. Interest rates were so low I figured a bump of 1.5%+ wasn't out of the question 2-3 years from then. Also figured housing prices would just continue going up, thus making it cost more in general. I also considered the fact that my salary really wasn't likely to drastically go up any time soon, so many houses I could afford then I wouldn't be able to afford in three years. Of course I have good credit so my PMI payment is really low. Different story if I would have had some $350 PMI payment. Many young people are balking at the housing market these days, they all just want to wait 3-5 years. They imagine this massive housing crash like 10+ years ago and I think they are sadly mistaken. I also don't think a lot of people truly understand the impact interest rates have on the cost in the long run. 3% compared to 5% just doesn't seem like a big deal to the average person. Even on a modest $250k loan that is nearly $100k over 30 years.
  21. I mean, probably fair to accept one can live another 50 years and probably not see another Packers QB ever even flirt with the level of Aaron Rodgers. I think Jordan Love could be acceptable on the Packers. Will he be good enough to make pro bowls and get us to a Super Bowl, ehh, jury is out on that one obviously. I think he has enough potential that it will be hard for him to suck in our organization. It is a good team, good coaching, and he sat under a pretty good QB for a few years. Now if you put him in a less well run organization? Yah, could definitely see him sucking. But here, I think we could make him system QB decent at minimum.
  22. No, they make the large tax firms (TurboTax, H&R Block), who lobby for laws like this more money because people like you and I now have to pay someone to do our much more complex taxes. I am guessing it has more to do with the influx of selling stuff online for profit and evading the taxes. All the online payment platforms loved to turn a blind eye, but now they are somewhat forced to care. Becoming harder and harder for douchebag sellers to cheat the system. It was only a mater of time after they start cracking down on sales ta collection for out of state sales. Sucks for people just trying to sell their old stuff etc...but is what it is.
  23. Thanks, that is what I kind of figured, but I wasn't sure if there were rules pertaining to tagging someone and then trading him.
  24. Yah, there is literally no way Rodgers would stay if they got rid of Adams. I saw a report that the Packers would tag Adams, but I don't see where that makes a ton of sense. I would have to imagine for Rodgers to stay he would stick up for Adams and demand they pay the man for all he has done for them. On the flip side if you trade Rodgers why go through the trouble of tagging Adams? That sounds like a whole lot of drama.
  25. I dunno how much this matters as a low seed playing WC weekend. You're going into a gauntlet for a month regardless. But, yeah, I'd rather play Cincy. I never understood this mentality unless it meant getting a home game. So yay you got to round 2 and lost? The goal is to win the whole thing and eventually, you'll have to go through the good teams. For a team like the Raiders, I think winning a game and then losing is a big deal for them. The Packers, Chiefs, Bucs? Of course not. Sure, the goal is to win it all, but for teams that have little success for a long time making the postseason and winning even a single game can be huge. Yah, you will have to face a good team eventually...but the Raiders got absolutely curb stomped by the Chiefs twice. I mean, how does that not matter? Pretty sure the Raiders and their fans would prefer to play any other team in football by a wide margin. As a low seed you just hope the higher gets knocked off before you get to them. I mean they could get to the Super Bowl and never play a #1 or #2.
