  1. Two things I almost posted in that AB 1) Morton staying in after struggling and is facing a lefty. 2) (after Tellez chased bad) Tellez really blows today.
  2. There was a curveball against Albies that Burnes threw in the 1st or 2nd inning that was beautifully placed and had plenty of the plate and it stood no chance to be called a strike because of how badly Narvaez caught it. Can't speak for the one earlier in the game, but the one last inning was on Burnes. If you aren't anywhere near the location intended the catcher has to chase it and simply can't frame it.
  3. it's 0-0 and neither team has a hit. Of course you are correct. But you can’t realistically tell me Burnes has looked the equal of Morton so far. I agree that results are all we need to care about here, but of the two, Morton is far and away executing better. Is he actually executing better...or is one just benefitting from the batters they are facing more?
  4. I think people are severely overstating Burnes being off. The only reason it seems that way is because the Braves aren't chasing some pitches like teams normally will. Go look at his gamecast, everything on the edges or off the plate. This is exactly what you want from your ace. Burnes can afford some walks because of how elite he is.
  5. The end result wasn't great, but they weren't really chasing. Morton did not have his curveball location at all that first inning. That will be something to watch as the game progresses.
  6. If the pitcher and catcher do their job that steal home is an easy out. Just throw it down the middle. Two outs, two strikes, and the batter is bailing out of the box before the pitcher steps off. Throw a strike and he is out by a long ways. Yes, I know no player thinks of these things in the heat of the moment on something that never occurs. It is fun to think out how it could have ended up drastically different though.
  7. Suter probably wouldn't see action in a NLDS game unless A) Our starter blew or B) extra innings. I doubt this ends up meaning much.
  8. Just received one this morning. What is availability like? Just the restaurant tables it appears...unless they magically put seats into the pre-sale at 10am. The restaurant tables are $175 per seat with a purchase 6 seats required. You get a food/drink credit of $30 per seat. On another note for today, seats in the terrace are about $25 with the fees included on Stubhub. Many in the homeplate area.
  9. WI21LCS However, unless you are looking to spend $700-$1,050 on a restaurant table you ain't getting anything.
  10. Ha...I thought the same. I hate my wife's comments during games, especially if something bad happens.
  11. Since 2008 the Rays have 7 playoff appearances and eight 90 win seasons, with 2 WS appearances. In the Brewers 50 year history we have 7 playoff appearances and nine 90 win seasons. OR Brewers since 2008 = 6 appearances Rays since 2008 = 7 appearances We have 8 postseason appearances in our franchises history by the way. World Series appearances, cool, that's more a virtue of luck and timing of getting hot. Yes...how a team is built can help them make a deeper run...but really it is about getting lucky/hot. Hence why the top team rarely comes out on top. Every other postseason appearance they have tapped out in the ALDS. From a business model it is somewhat impressive. Be cheap, but somehow stay competitive in a tough division. I just think they are made out to be this ungodly amazing franchise that everyone should want to be like...I don't really feel they are that amazing. I mean they basically have the same amount of success since 2008 and I would hardly call us anywhere near some blueprint example on how to be amazing. We just haven't quite had the luck to push us to a World Series appearance.
