I’m a little perplexed at the apparent belief here that what Murphy did was annoying but that nothing Aaron has done is….. That’s not what I was saying at all. If you are referring I am saying that…no, I am not.
I saw the suggestion maybe he did it to just troll the Packers. That seems far fetched (he didn’t), but this thing is such a circus and Murphy is so annoying I hope he hops on a plane to Green Bay for the day of training camp just to not show up. Maybe have his equipment duffel bag, eat breakfast by the stadium, drive past the player entrance, and then go golfing before hopping on a plane back out of town. That would be kinda funny.
Pretty much every Bucks player was arguably a joke in that half…yet down 6. Lopez was about the only guy that was pretty solid. Some of these guys need to wake up.
If Giannis can’t manage to lead them to a win in their next game it speaks a lot about him and the current team construction. If the current team isn’t enough to win in the 2nd round…how does it ever get better. I think it COULD become a big part of his legacy because they very well could blow their last golden opportunity. After this year it could be a real uphill battle to get to a ‘ship. I think they win though and I think they do it by 10+.
I’m still not exactly sure the setting when Murphy made his Rodgers comments, but it certainly seemed like it wasn’t necessary to even talk about Aaron Rodgers at all let alone say something dumb. Seems like he decided to go down that road all by himself.
The Nets are suppose to be the better team and win the series IF they were healthy. That isn’t even remotely close to being the case. The Bucks should be winning this series and honestly it should have taken them 6 games to do so.
Braun mentioned at one point he didn’t want some big going out retirement party, he just didn’t care for it. Someone mentioned at one point Braun thought of baseball as a job, not exactly as an enjoyment. I’m sure Braun had a personal ego to fill back when he was doing roids, but I think the fallout of that really torpedoed his baseball time from enjoyment to just going to work. I don’t think he cares about winning. I always figured once his contract he was done he would happily go into retirement to be with his family. He seems thrilled and happy as can be not playing. Not being booed and harassed everywhere he goes to play. I don’t think he gives a rip what the Brewers are doing. Didn’t he mention the hometown Dodgers the one time he got into a conversation about the current baseball season?
I think Nelson was at 199 when he injured his shoulder so we may not want to bring this up. No injury needed for these three, crackdown on sticky stuff may do them in. That coupled with any goal to limit innings down the stretch.
The Brewers haven't had a 200 strikeout starter since Gallardo in 2012 (I believe), but it looks like they are destine to have at least one guy do it this year. Greinke/Gallardo both did it in 2011. I am guessing the franchise has probably never had three do it in the same season, I would be a little surprised.
I think coaching matters a bit more when you are trotting out a roster like the Bucks have. If you have Harden/Irving/Durant? Yah, the players kind of just do their own things. However, the Bucks talent is much more spread throughout the guys on the roster....and the top dog (Giannis) isn't the brightest ballplayer. Good coaching seems necessary to help those guys maximize their talent come playoff time.
Well, despite harden being on the floor, this has been the second half. Yup, pretty much a one superstar on each side. Durant is putting the team on his back…Giannis, while not playing bad by any means, isn’t not doing the same.
