  1. Defining if they win, maybe. Not sure it really is that defining if he loses a game everyone expects them to lose. Probably more defining for guys like Middleton and Holiday. If they win it will be because those guys step up and will them to victory. Pretty sure we already know what Bud can do, or not do for that matter.
  2. To bad the Bucks probably won’t give an honest timetable for a return just to keep the other team wondering. I’m guessing there is zero chance he can play again this year, but of course I’m not in the doctors room. Even the thought of him playing again this series seems like the ultimate pipe dream.
  3. That is one of the concerns that has been brought up. You would have to entice teams to put tougher games in their schedule much like they do for basketball. How exactly you do that remains to be seen. Alabama/Clemson etc probably won't have any motivation to schedule those games, but not like it really matters. They are always Top 12 teams...they don't really need to prove it like a Wisconsin might need to. If you have two comparable teams and start taking the one with a tougher non conference schedule every time, you could actually motivate teams to schedule tougher games than they do now.
  4. It is somewhat ironic how many are worried (outside of this forum, not just here) about making Giannis mad and making sure he can make the team how he wants. Yet the same fanbase is wanting to kick Aaron Rodgers to the curb because he is a massive diva just because he wants a phone call or two before a move is made. If there is any silver lining you don't need to use your knee much for a free throw so Giannis should have plenty of time to practice hitting the rim.
  5. “Guys! You can’t judge something based on how it appeared on TV!!” *Let me just go and judge the severity based on the coaches demeanor on TV though* Key word there would be guess. And I think I qualified it pretty clearly, but you do you. I am surprised you are still here and not embarrassed by the 50+ win team that is always flat and embarrassing. I mean don't get mad at me the the Bucks have consistently failed in the playoffs, barely got by a crippled Nets team, and looked destined for a 2-2 series tie even with Giannis on the floor and Atlanta not having Trae Young. It is like the Bucks insist on underperforming. Not sure how many guys have hyperextended that badly and are fine any time soon. To say he is done for the remainder of the playoffs is probably a pretty realistic guess. The doctor posted an article further explaining why his season, at minimum, is over. https://www.outkick.com/david-chao-md-giannis-season-likely-is-over/

  7. Yah, I’d expect this to be accurate. That was a pretty brutal hyperextension.
  8. Primary source of struggle, but also a primary location of power when he actually provides it.
  9. You really think this team can sustain no Giannis? This team is kinda embarrassing as is. Always coming out flat and playing terrible. I’d fully expect them to roll over and die, done in Game 6 without Giannis. I think it’s more likely they somewhat just check out and quit without Giannis.
  10. The announcers were optimistic, but right after is probably the best mobility after hyperextending. It only gets worse with time. Giannis probably not going to wake up feeling good.
  11. There goes the Bucks title hopes, off to watch the Brewers.
  12. Even if they win the Bicks sure do a good job playing into the narrative of only winning because the other team is crippled. Too much struggling with the other teams too dog(s) out.
  13. Jeez. Mr. High Standards over here.... Okay fine, 3 feet within the rim. That’s my limit though.
  14. If you are going to shoot 3’s….hit the rim
  15. They beat the Royals in the WS as an 88 win team. They were kind of meh. Yah, I did sort of mention that in the part of my post you deleted out of your reply *sobs*. I recall both teams being wild cards? The Royals were a 89 win team, with a Pythagorean of 84 wins. The Pythagorean of the Giants was a pretty lame 87 wins. Even that team had some crazy pitchers though. At the end of the day I would rather have elite pitching and pray my offense gets hot versus expecting a bunch of 'meh' pitchers to be Cy Young's.
  16. Neither were outside. Both cut the plate in half, one being middle of the strike zone and the other at the bottom of the zone. I do think they were sliders, though the one he hit for a double was a hanger with basically no break. Doing damage against mistakes is big progress…….it’s how good hitters get to be good hitters. Let’s hope it continues. Oh sure, I wasn't inferring it was a bad thing. We will see how he progresses over a longer period of time. He certainly looks way better, but I think it is also partially a well timed hot streak. Of course that is probably something he dearly needed. Some success to have confidence the changes being made are turning into results. Not sure I will jump on the 2019 Hiura is back bandwagon yet, but I do hope he will be good enough we won't have to waste resources to find a 1B next month.
  17. If our offense is seeing a notable improvement due to lack of sticky stuff, it is possible our pitching regresses to match though. So far it really hasn't from our Big 3...but two weeks is a comically small sample size in baseball terms. You also have to consider the time of year. Summer heats up, offense heats up. Early season slumps are usually gone by now. It is hard to say how much impact the rule enforcement will have on hitting/pitching.
  18. The Brewers are on pace for one of their best starts to a season at the AS Break ever. Their current winning percentage is higher than they had in 2011/2014/2018 and even 1982. Some of you older folks may recall any other hot starts. The highest in that bunch was .563, I believe. They currently sit at .581 No spot for Shaw on the roster is optimism!
  19. Not sure what is head scratching about the Giants WS wins. They had the likes of Barry Zito, Tim Lincecum, Matt Cain, and Mad Bum on those teams. Ryan Vogelsong was great for them in one of those seasons. Brain Wilson, Santiago Casilla, Jeremy Affeldt, and Sergio Romo in the pen. The pitching on those teams was simply incredible. Head scratching would be the Royals making two WS in a row despite teams that weren't even that great. Neither team was bad, but to make and nearly win two World Series was a bit shocking. That 2014 Royals team is probably a good reason the Giants got that 2014 title...not exactly a formidable opponent in the World Series.
  20. Doesn’t both the NFL and NBA automatically list anyone on an injury report as “questionable”? Or at least real common to do it that way?
  21. Neither were outside. Both cut the plate in half, one being middle of the strike zone and the other at the bottom of the zone. I do think they were sliders, though the one he hit for a double was a hanger with basically no break.
  22. Well, Game 2 should have been a bit demoralizing and sure didn't seem it played out that way.
  23. Look no further than Brewer's fans for proof. Team was a league joke for decades and it only took till the third consecutive postseason appearance for everyone to start complaining about the team. Even when we are leading the division people still find ways to complain about what Counsell and Stearns are doing. People are greedy, especially when it comes to the success of their sports teams. Being consistently the same is not fun unless you are winning the championship yearly. Didn't one of the Chiefs players call their season a total failure because they lost in the Super Bowl?
