  1. Griffin with a failed flop for once.
  2. I think they want to warm him up for Game 6 and if needed Game 7. Not sure he will heavily play a bunch. I was looking forward to the solo Durant match up for the storyline. It was Durant’s chance to prove himself as the guy in the NBA.
  3. It was some event and he was up at a podium talking. Not sure he was really asked a question...just talking about conversations he had back in the day with with TT. He started to say Rodgers, and clarified TT said it about many players, and then proceeded to call Rodgers a complicated fella. Then 'just left it at that'. I don't think it is really being taken out of context. He was clearly trying to take a little shot at Rodgers. Why? Who knows.
  4. The Raiders will be fine, but that is because there are a measly 8 or whatever home games. Isn't hard for terrible teams with terrible fanbases to draw a ton in football. Put a decent team in Las Vegas and have the heavy out of town tourism and they probably fill it up pretty well. I can imagine a boatload of people will make a short 3-4 day trip to Vegas when their team is in town. The amount of opposing fans filling it up will likely be a bit cringy, I agree there. When the Chargers were waiting for their new stadium didn't the opposing fans embarrassingly fill it up?
  5. What is the better location? Las Vegas is probably better than Oakland. Have to take into consideration the current city is a dump of a location as is.
  6. Can we make Murphy and Rodgers a package deal? The way Murphy talks it somewhat vindicates Rodger's belief that the Packers are ran somewhat terribly as far as how they treat players/star players. Regarding Love, I wouldn't start him Week 1. Much like top QBs coming out of college I wouldn't want to directly throw him into a fire where struggles will get him and the organization instantly hung on a stake. Just throw him into a smaller fire 3-5 weeks in the season once everyone gets bored bring the torches and pitchforks to the stadium. Unless they think he is so ready to lead them to a playoff spot, but it doesn't sound like that is the case.
  7. Some MLB teams have had their pitchers take bullpen sessions without foreign substance to help prepare for this change.
  8. Well if you are paying inside you would be correct that it would have to stay and not move. I wasn’t referring to that kind of person though, more so one who pays at the pump and then heads inside to do 30 minutes of who knows what. Exactly why I hate Kwik Trip though. People parking at the pump not even getting gas, people paying inside and then basically grocery shopping, etc. Can never find a pump half the time because a bunch of empty cars taking up space.
  9. I never leave my car by the pump even after filling. My wife judges me every time, but I move and park. People who fill and then go in are just as annoying if it is a busy gas station (minus if it a quick run to the bathroom or something).
  10. Harden and Irving are confirmed OUT for Game 5.
  11. That is a lofty comparison. Urias has been a merry go round because he has been terrible for 90% of his career so far. Zobrist was a versatile guy who could play multiple positions well and thats why he bounced around the field a bunch. He also could hit, something Urias doesn't have a huge track record of doing.
  12. Are we going to start getting updates when Bickford doesn't pitch too? So much talking about a guy when he pitches bad/good and he has a grand ole 7 innings with the Dodgers.
  13. Not really. The amount of draft capita and/or players it will take to acquire Rodgers would certainly attach that team to him for the remainder of the contract. You aren't going to get Rodgers and consider moving on in the next three years. So there wouldn't be any concern of the acquiring team dumping him on the side of the road after 2021. Arguably the biggest issue Rodgers has right now is the fact the Packers got Love while at the same time having a convenient out of his contract after 2021. Which is notable when most rumors had that as their plan once drafting Love. It is quite likely he would want/expect an extension, but mostly because he could probably get it from that team. If the Packers shipped Rodgers off to the Broncos I bet he wouldn't demand a contract to play. He would probably get his way out of Green Bay an way possible if he had the choice. The contract may be the same, but the situation is way less problematic.
  14. Rodgers would require the team trading for him to sign him to a new extension. I don't see why this would be an issue? Because we don't know that Rodgers would require an extension from an acquiring team?
  15. Isn't his contract only three more years? If he skips he just forfeits the salary and then is effectively on a two year deal? I don't see how that isn't a huge negative, that is 33% of the contract gone. If it ends up taking a year in a new system to get up to speed you then have one year to win it all. If he sat out a year I wonder if an acquiring team would almost prefer to have Rodgers sign an extension so he is around more than 2 years min.
  16. Wouldn't shock me if he went out and got a 3B regardless. Any 3B could basically flip over to 1B if needed. So if either Vogelbach/Urias go back to sucking that player can just slide into either position full time. Worst case Urias can still find plenty of ABs around the diamond if they all hit. This is arguably what Stearns was trying to do with Bradley Jr. in the OF situation with Cain coming back after a year off (injury/level of play concerns) and Avisail Garcia (coming off a terrible 2020 and questionable track record). Even if Cain/Garcia excelled JBJ would still find plenty of ABs. Or just use Luis Urias as a trade chip. I wouldn't rule this out if he is doing well. The fact they moved on from him at SS so fast and Stearn's comments post Adames trade I don't think the Brewers are extremely high on Urias. If they get a trade that gives them a good amount of value compared to how they feel about him I wouldn't be shocked if they shipped him off.
  17. Lets see in a month. Vogelbach and Urias are both on hot streaks making them a bit more legitimate than they may actually be. If both those guys are actually what their current numbers reflect we may not be in bad shape...but my guess is one goes cold again dragging their numbers back to a less respectable range.
  18. Adames still better on the road than he is at home. Only hitting like .216 at AmFam. .750 OPS thanks to some power though.
  19. I would feel a little more bad if this wasn't a season long problem for the Nets. However, at this point injuries are apart of who the Nets are.
  20. I love a good what if, but nothing points to Ryan Braun having even the slightest interest in coming back. Seems like he is pretty happy and okay never picking up a bat ever again for pro ball. Ryan Braun considered the Olympics, but opted not to because he wanted to stay with family. The Olympics for baseball start at the end of July. Seems like he is going to be staying at home all summer.
  21. I mean if they can't win Game 5 with no Harden/Irving they are probably doomed. Not sure who they would have available in Game 6, but at least the Bucks would have that at home.
  22. He pitched three in a row in early 19, if I remember. Against the Reds. Athletics at the end of July...he took the loss in the first game, saved the second, and blew the save (ended up losing) the third game.
  23. You could argue the risk of Rodgers sitting out and getting worse compensation next offseason is worth attempting to call his bluff and getting him into camp come August.
  24. Hader has pitched three consecutive days twice in his career. The last three games and the Dodgers series at the end of April. By my count.
  25. Am I missing the reason for a standing ovation, seems a little weird? My wife has the TV at like 2 volume so I may be missing the reason.
