  1. Giving this information away publicly would give a tactical advantage to the Brewers opponents. You don't want anyone to know exactly how and when Josh will be used. It already is public information. All you need to do is type Josh Hader into google, hit stats, and see 24 appearances and zero are multi innings. Pretty obvious how he is being used and will be used in the future.
  2. I got to be honest, some of the ideas brought up in this thread are straight out of deep LF...and they don't even make sense for the title of the thread. How is a two strike first pitch going to do anything beneficial to curbing pitching dominance?
  3. Bucks will never win a championship with Giannis...but Giannis is a big reason why. He just isn’t the main guy super star to build around...sorry, but he just isn’t. Great player...but not a championship team leader. They just aren’t going to attract a superstar to pair with him.
  4. A bag of baseballs is what I would offer.
  5. It is about representing all teams...I don’t find that as garbage. Often really bad teams with one AS it ends up a pitcher . Of course pitchers drop like flies from injuries or not being able to pitch in the AS game. I wouldn’t be shocked if Peralta makes it that route.
  6. I can't imagine Burnes and Woodruff aren't easy locks as of today (June 7th). There is still time for one to falter a bit and make it more debatable, but right now Fangraphs has both in the Top 5 in all of baseball. Freddy Peralta (#15 I believe) could definitely be a victim of not wanting three starters from the same team on the roster. Carson Kelly has been miserable for the past few weeks so that helps open the door for Narvaez a bit. Posey and Realmuto are probably ahead of he based on name recognition while being better. Will Smith (also in a slump like Kelly) is about even with Narvaez, but Narvaez has the better offensive numbers. I think Narvaez is starting to play into an AS selection if there are three catchers taken. As of June 7th I would guess: Hader Woodruff Burnes Narvaez
  7. Not sure why this deal is so bad on our end. Twins are effectively giving us $26mil bringing the cost of Donaldson (not counting this year) to $25.5mil or $12.75mil a year. One could always pick up his option for a third year at an extra $8mil. We have handed out the same money on two year deals to Avisail Garcia, who you are thrilled if he hits for a .750 OPS...and Jackie Bradley Jr., who you are happy if he hits a beach ball. Donaldson is a consistent .800+ OPS player. Yah, he is old...but at least he has actually been a consistent producer in his career. I would probably accept that deal and take on the risk of him producing at an old age. Even if he only produces this year and next year I would be pretty pumped. Hopefully any decline still keeps him around .750 OPS.
  8. Kind of unfortunate our team strength is pitching. While it probably helps our offense if opposing pitchers do it less, some of our hitters couldn't hit it if you put it on a tee.
  9. They blew a huge opportunity in the first game. Harden goes down a minute into the game and they don't capitalize with a win. You have to find a way to win that game in my opinion. They still have a chance, notably because Harden will be out again, but they clearly have to win tonight to have a realistic chance to pull of a series win. A split on the road is nothing to sneeze at and then they are off to Milwaukee for a pair of games.
  10. Well if Peralta ends the season with 32 (10 more wins) that would put him at needing 13.6 wins per year to get there. If he is truly ace level and can do that every single year he probably can get there. The other two simply don’t have enough control to make it all that realistic.
  11. I'd like to see these fan videos... The posted video shows Woodruff/Burnes, I already posted the guys handle. The Peralta video is in pretty similar fashion to how Woodruff uses his substance.
  12. Lol Giannis. Brick two free throws, Bucks give up three, Giannis turns it over, Bucks give up slam. And the Bucks want to win?
  13. Foreign substances have exploded in recent years because it became more of a common thing and there was zero punishment. Everyone caught on that they should just do it themselves. Should be interesting how this affects the Brewers. Our entire ‘Big 3’ have been caught doing it by fan videos. At the same time, maybe it helps the offense a bit at the same time.
  14. I don’t think a single person has argued against that at all. Someone was trying to claim the Cubs don’t care about the Brewers at all. I think that’s pretty much impossible after they got whacked, at home, in front of a large contingency of Brewer fans in a Game 163. Even the post trying to prove the Cubs fans don’t consider the Brewers a rival because only 7% think the Brewers are their BIGGEST rival. That’s biggest. If 7% think that then I bet a good chunk of the rest still consider the Brewers a big rival. Good thing someone has already polled Cubs' fans so we can stop with the conjecture. Everyone feel free to interpret these results in whatever way necessary in order to justify your own argument: https://www.bleedcubbieblue.com/2020/7/11/21320275/cubs-mlb-rivalries-cardinals-brewers-sb-nation-reacts Alright cool, it’s been confirmed, the Brewers are a rival. The Astros though...what year was this? 2005? Kinda strange they would still call the Astros a big rival. The Dodgers, Yankees, and Astros are there based solely on all of baseball hating them. Basically the Cubs consider the Cards/Brewers as rivals.
  15. If I had to vote I’d take Woodruff. He, BY FAR, is the best at having his “stuff” go deep into games. Peralta got pretty far, but his stuff can’t go 9. Peralta needs serious luck to get through the end of a game.
  16. I don’t think a single person has argued against that at all. Someone was trying to claim the Cubs don’t care about the Brewers at all. 17. The only reason the Nets won’t cruise to a championship is because of health. If they were healthy I don’t think they would find much resistance on their way to the ‘ship.
  18. Umm yah...Cubs definitely find the Brewers to be a pretty big rival. Most Cubs fans probably don’t even live in Chicago, they live in the suburbs. Many live in northern IL and even into Wisconsin. That Game 163 really poured some salt onto the wound to ramp up the rivalry a bit.
  19. He will still hit FA at about 30....probably a big reason he signed it. How many FA years did he even give up?
  20. Peralta is the first Brewer to be in the 8th inning with no hits since Chase Anderson, May 27th of 2017. Before that it was Chase Anderson, May 17th of 2017.
  21. Counsell seemed pretty upbeat, guessing he will let Peralta go for it and throw 120+ if he has to.
  22. He needs to be perfect the next two innings...and still be efficient. Might as well be aggressive and hope they put it in play where your guys are...much like that 7th.
  23. Would be interesting if he was more in line with having a shot to get it done in 115-120 pitches. Barring a lightning fast 7th inning I would guess that would be the end of the line regardless of the number of hits on the board.
  24. Alright, I had to ask my friend where he got the video and it was from a user on TikTok (hey_commy). Like 99% of this forum I don’t have the app, so I had to go download it to find find the video. He has videos of Peralta and Burnes both using a substance in their glove. He referred to a Woodruff video in one of his other videos, but I couldn’t find that one. The Peralta video is blatant and the Burnes one is fairly obvious...though he hides it better. He has a Youtube account, but none of the Brewers clips are on it. His YouTube handle is ‘commy john’. Maybe someone can get him to post the Brewers ones there...or else you will need TikTok to see them.
