  1. In my opinion the Packers should just ride out this year and see what Rodgers does. If he has another age-less MVP conversation season then just give the man his money and trade Love why he still has lots of hype aka still has good trade value. I don't think anyone expected a huge bounce back in the way he did. Packers FO is probably shocked and probably regrets the Love selection a bit now...in my opinion. Unless they really feel Love is a special QB (like pro bowl every year good) they should feel obligated to go the route they thought they were commiting to last year. Again...just my opinion. I may be way off, but who knows what the Packers really think in all of this. I just don't think the purpose of the Love pick was for money reasons. I think they feared their HOF QB was somewhat on the decline and maybe a bit injury prone at this venture. Now that Rodgers had a completely healthy season and was the MVP I think they are like a deer in the headlights in some ways.
  2. I think the utter lack of using the talent correctly by McCarthy (at the end of his tenure) was a bigger crime to Rodgers than the actual personnel was.
  3. I had to laugh because they claim it is about protecting users search data or some garbage....RIIIIIIIIGHT.
  4. That seems kind of crazy to be honest. I am not sure why either of them would want to have the same agent. Regarding receivers and the first round. The stat is ridiculous, but was more funny than notable until the last few years where the receiving core seemed to be lacking on paper. However, it doesn't seem too bleak after last year. While the media talks about this and it was a big topic going into the draft...does Rodgers actually care about this anymore? Maybe last offseason he wanted a big splash, but does he actually want/expect that this year? Something tells me he doesn't.
  5. There is almost no point into even trying to guess what is actually going on. It been proven quite often the media is just stirring up a lot of this. So much has been proven totally false or so misleading it might as well be false. Many times (including this new drama) it doesn't even make sense. Rodgers has become one of those talking points that just has to be drama filled. Packers could have won the Super Bowl and I have no doubt there would still be media trying to stir up drama about him.
  6. Feliciano is at the alternate site, that would probably be why he isn’t on the AAA roster. Same reason Corey Ray isn’t listed etc.
  7. Roku and Google could not come to an agreement. I was really hoping to get another cheap TCL Roku to use on my patio this summer. “Our commitment is to always put your interests first and therefore we will continue to offer existing users access to YouTube TV unless Google takes actions that require the full removal of the channel. New subscribers will not be allowed at this time. It is also important that you do not delete the YouTube TV channel as it will not be available for download to Roku devices.”
  8. Aaron Rodgers is a pretty smart guy. I am sure he is well of how the cap works and how it makes essentially zero sense to trade him etc etc etc. So, yah, I don't think he will be traded and I don't think Rodgers himself (if these rumors are true) actually thinks there is any chance he gets traded.
  9. Brett Favre isn’t even in the same zip code as Aaron Rodgers...but that’s just my opinion.
  10. He is absolutely a terrible baseball player. Doesn’t help Keston Hiura is an even worse baseball player so now we end up watching Vogelbach even more than we should.
  11. I refuse to believe the Packers front office is stupid enough to somehow tick off a legend QB, have him win a MVP, tick him off more, and then he never plays for them again. I don’t care who the QB is...you can’t be dumb enough to let that happen. If it does Love either wins them a Super Bowl or Gute and Co. go down as the biggest idiots in Green Bay history.
  12. Don't blame him. The last few years have been strange at best. I am not shocked he is disgruntled when they find him so irrelevant in major decisions around the team. He is a smart man and has a high football IQ, you would think they would want his input a bit more than they seem to do. It just seems like neither side really is a fit for the other anymore.
  13. What needs to be rectified? It really wasn't that costly in the grand scheme. It didn't cost us a trip to the World Series and he didn't blow the final out call of a perfect game. By the end of the season this won't even rank Top 100 of costly calls against us.
  14. Isn't the current punter a draft pick, even worse a former 5th? I suppose they could as 7th round picks are usually garbage anyway...but I am willing to bet a 5th won't be used on the position again any time soon.
  15. This is good, cause I have already said and agreed with this a dozen times I will stop typing because clearly people aren't reading.
  16. I don't think there has been anyone to say that call should have been made, I must be missing it. Even if, by rule, it was technically a proper call I don't think anyone wants to see a petty meaningless call get called like that. Its was 100% a dumb call to make.
  17. Please pull up the rule and point out why the umpires interpretation was incorrect. I think the call was dumb, but I am not entirely convinced it didn't technically follow some rule in the rule book. It appears all you can do is call people stupid and provide literally nothing useful to the discussion yourself. That is pretty lame. At least some people want to have a productive conversation. I'm going off of what you and one or two other defenders have posted and I still don't see anything convincing enough to defend that bureaucratic interpretation of the rule. It's worth noting that outside of Marty Foster and the Miami Marlins, I haven't seen anyone else in the baseball world online trying to defend the call as being correct. Diaz was on the grass, dogging it to first, and was clearly out via force at 1B before Marty decided he wanted the spotlight. A little common sense can go a very long way. If that is the type of call MLB can defend as a correct interpretation of a rule, than maybe this league just deserves to lose fans. Because who is going to think about it that in depth? Even JomBoy, about the only person that breaks down a play intently, was completely wrong in his analysis. He thinks Diaz stepped over towards Godley in the grass to draw the interference. That is just flat out wrong. Diaz started in the grass and was in the grass the entire time. Most people are going to stop before the rule even needs to be mentioned because it was a ridiculously unnecessary call. Right or wrong, the call is still beyond dumb to make. As I have said many times, sometimes you just don't need to make a call...and that was definitely one of those times. I am sure every other umpire in baseball watched that play afterwards and was like, "What an idiot, I would never call that."

  19. The problem isn't when Godley has the ball, it is when he doesn't have the ball. Once he threw the ball he completed the act of making a play. I think the problem and why the umpire made a judgement call to make it interference comes down to Vogelbach catching the ball not on the bag. He then had to look down and find the bag. During that time Godley is still in the way of Diaz's running lane. If Vogelbach catches that ball on the bag I don't think the umpire decides to make that call. The one problem I am having is the fact he deemed Godley done committing a baseball play. When exactly is a baseball play done? The ball left his hand and maybe Vogelbach caught it...but jeez Godley only took 3 step towards first after it left his hand and the out was made. The rule basically states it is a judgement call for the umpire to make so it almost can't be 'wrong' according to the rule...but with that I guess I see the umpires judgement as rather poor there.
  20. Pretty much a one sentence summary of the situation. It is like replay and teams challenging a steal where the runner beat the throw by a mile, but here we are challenging it to see if his finger popped off for a half millisecond while he was sliding in. Like I said before, sometimes you wish officials for a sport just would turn a blind eye to stuff because no one is going to care they didn't call something. Would any Marlins person ever mention a missed interference call there? I really doubt it. It is like the basketball ref who needs to call a travel with 5 seconds left and a score of 100-80.
  21. Rarely but that is because ESPN and other major news outlets usually don't care enough unless it is the postseason...especially not the scrub markets of Milwaukee/Miami playing each other. NFL and the NBA always have to answer these things because national media brings pitchforks and torches to the main office.
  22. Can we assume from this statement that the $85M represents their annual cost? If so, I guess that if the Marlins get $50M a year from their TV deal, than we are getting $35M a year from our deal. I haven't seen anything that listed the Brewers deal details. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2021/04/latest-on-marlins-local-television-deal.html#:~:text=In%20late%20March%2C%20the%20Marlins,just%20over%20%2450MM%20annually. In late March, the Marlins and Sinclair Broadcast Group announced a multi-year local television rights contract. The specific terms and length of the agreement weren’t disclosed at the time, but Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald now reports it’s a seven-year deal that pays just over $50MM annually. Yes and yes...you can probably assume we are around $35mil. Sounds about right. The bigger deal is the Marlins is only 7 years so I assume ours is too. That is great news with how outdated these things get when some teams get into 15 year deals.
