  1. We would still need the vaccine to get back to normal as we don't know how long immunity will last after you get it. Thankfully we haven't had any huge problems with reinfections so it seems one would have a good chunk of time after getting it before they get it again.
  2. I assume that number is global? There's no way the US is anywhere near 100 million. And those numbers are all region specific. There are plenty of big cities in the US that have seen very little community spread. No...that would be the United States alone. The CDC thinks that only about 1 in 7 cases are actually getting reported. I don't think it is that farfetched from what I have seen. They reported that belief way back in June and they still believe that to be the case now. You have to consider the asymptomatic rate, people simply refusing to get tested, those are not severe enough to get a test, and people they know are probably positive but they just tell to stay home. The later of which I am mostly referring to when one family member tests positive, but they will tell the rest of the family to just quarantine like they have to anyway. I have known 6 or so households where others got sick, but it wasn't severe so there wasn't really a need to test to prove it. I would guess we are somewhere between 70mil-100mil, it is waaaaaay more than the 13.5mil that are official. The people going under the radar will probably become an even bigger problem as we sneak into flu season. Getting sick in July is weird, but as we enter winter people probably won't be running to get a test for mild symptoms.
  3. I have seen quite a few reports and studies that believe we have probably seen somewhere in the neighborhood of 100mil infections by now.
  4. Too bad the whole jersey isn't the baby blue...that would have been slick. The weird curve and the two different blues AND the black on the shorts...kind strange. Save me the reason why it is like that...its ugly. I guess making a jersey with zero relation to the actual team colors is always a bit on the strange side.
  5. They have to be making money on the fans being there...no way they are just doing it as a goodwill gesture. It ain't millions, but I doubt they are doing it for anything but $$$$ reasons.
  6. I never get the fascination with deciding if a player left school too early or not. If a guy flames out in the NFL in two years clearly it didn’t matter when they left school, they weren’t pro material. Maybe it would have helped them get drafted slightly higher, but past that the end result probably isn’t much different. He can just go back to school if he wants and get his degree if he flames out. Probably better in the end versus finishing school, playing football for a few years, and then trying to find a job with that degree. If he becomes a legit pro football player it will be enormous that he left early. Some people (not saying anyone here) like to think their school is some magical place and another year of school would have catapulted them in pro sports as a big star...I doubt it makes a big difference. They get better amenities and time to improve their game at the next level...not college. Such thinking seems to be much more common in basketball...which may be a bit more relevant as being a first round pick is a much bigger deal than being a 2nd rounder or UDFA. In the NFL being a late pick or UDFA still gives ample opportunity if you are actually something worthwhile.
  7. He should demand a trade after the uniforms they just released for next year.
  8. And most of the people making a fuss about this aren't first in line, second in line, and probably not even third in line to get the vaccine.
  9. Last I saw it was about 50/50 on whether people said they would get the vaccine or not. Even nurses had a 30% 'No' response. Of course who exactly they asked and the accuracy is certainly questionable...still not great response.
  10. One of the Steelers or Chiefs has to actually make the Super Bowl themselves first. While both are really good, they have both played some close games against teams that aren't that great. One will have to win against three great opponents in a row and the other will have to win two games in a row. There are a lot of great teams that could take them down. The Titans with Henry are probably the biggest threat to go on a run.
  11. Is that where a lot of the NBA teams have their broadcasts? I know that is the case with the Bucks, but I wasn't sure if that was common for most teams like it is with baseball. The FOX RSNs are a disaster for Sinclair right now, but I don't know if they can really afford to have them entirely off the streaming services long term. They will have to figure out something.
  12. I was about to say, Billy Turner has really held his own against some good players opposite of him. At one point they showed a play where he got help against Khalil Mack and honestly didn't even look like he needed help. Probably going to be the least amount of times Rodgers has ever been sacked in a season (that he wasn't injured). The current lowest is 28 in 2014.
  13. YouTube TV has a much better platform, and it isn't really close IMO. It really is pretty awesome. Hulu Live TV has gotten a lot better in the last 12 months, but YouTube TV has better responsiveness and fewer glitchy issues. Thanks, I know a few people with Hulu...no one with YouTube TV though. It does seem most of them have issues with Hulu on a pretty regular basis. One time the Packers game crashed on an intense final drive...talk about a cringe moment. I am hoping the FOX RSNs will come back before the start of baseball season. From what I read a major reason that hasn't happened yet is because COVID pretty well ruined the sports seasons and right now there is not much reason to try and make a deal because now those sports are over.
  14. Pfizer is currently distributing it's vaccine while it waits for approval. The vaccine is currently arriving in the U.S. and being stored in Pleasant Prairie, WI. Moderna plans to officially ask for final approval today.
  15. It’s still a pretty bad unit for a super bowl contender behind Adam’s. IF Lazard is healthy AND MVS is playing decent they can be fine...any problems to any of those theee and it turns into a pretty rough group quick. The TEs are fine in my opinion...nothing flashy, but they are useful.
  16. I decided to start Williams in fantasy over other trash fodder after Conner went down to COVID....my team is going off after endless sub 100 point weeks. Pretty fitting Williams would have a day.
  17. Right...isn’t he defenseless regardless of head/neck contact?
  18. Bears just got burned by an average TE for 40 yards...jeez.
  19. Guys, ain’t like we have a QB known for Hail Marys.
  20. I still don't get why teams don't just kick it from center. They always spend the ends or games trying to line up the game winning FG from right between the hashes but on an extra point they want to kick from a hash for some reason? Because clearly the K prefers it a certain way? Why else? Though what you are referring to seems way way less common than it was 10 years ago. I rarely see those last plays where the RB just falls down in a certain spot to make that happen.
  21. Trubisky...it is over.
  22. Yah....I don’t think this game will end up close. We flat out are outplaying and outsmarting their offense.
  23. Again, how much did we pay for him to start?
  24. How much did we pay the Bears to start Mitch?
