    Considering I can recall at least two similar he missed by 3+ feet at the wall...yah...I was pretty worried too.

    Not a huge loss...haha. arguably could/would have been the best players at Wisco in 2020 had they gone there. Hopefully the guys shine now that Happ is gone...I doubt it though. Now Wisconsin will just be a team trying to get in the tourney and have their personal “championship be the second weekend. Wisco’s big men suck in my opinion, but the guards are decent. Getting the Hauser brothers to go with their experienced guards could have given them one heck of a team in 2020.

    The Cardinals are a solid darkhorse, but I think they are more of an annoyance vs. a division contender. WC contender, sure, but I don't think they best both us and the Cubs.

    I agree but it is May 28 and he is 2nd in the NL Sure. He has a chance because Dyson sucks and may not rack up the ABs to do it and Turner has been a cripple for most of this season.

    12 unique teams have won the NCAA championship in the last 20 years and 7 unique champions in the last 9 years (both by my count). Compared to the NBAs 8 since the mid 80s. All the talk of Kentucky, but does anyone actually realize they have only won the championship once this century? I get it, the forum is mostly salty Wisconsin fans that are bitter Kentucky knocked them out in 2014...however they didn't win it that year or 18 of the other years this century. I bet if we compare runner ups in the two the NCAA would be waaay more diverse over the years...and if we take the four semi final teams...I think you get the point. The best in the NBA almost always make the final yet the NCAA I would argue they very often don't even make the Final Four. Also you might want to recheck those "1 year basketball camps you speak of". Outside of Duke/Kentucky no one religiously has that many one and done players...just isn't the reality. So many one and done players are staying local these days or they simply aren't performing well enough to make a huge impact and then leave. The best teams in the NCAA can and do lose to teams ranked #68 or even ranked into the 100s on any given night. The NBA? No way...college basketball is pretty darn even these days. Sure there is a good chunk that will consistently do well in conference play and make deeper tourney runs...but not always.

    Think I would bet on Yelich hitting 60 homers over him leading the league in steals. Heck I would probably bet on him hitting 60 homers over him stealing 30 bases. I don't think he racks up that many steals to be honest.

    ESPN had the breaking news for him and the short info was how he screwed up the World Series decades ago. And when they had guys talk about him that is mostly what they talked about. My oh my...what a disaster ESPN is. Not being that old is the play being referred to the one where the ball goes right between the legs of the 1B?

    I will give a clue: The last pitcher to win the award was on the 2009 team. A team that somehow went 80-82 despite a pitching staff that gave up 818 runs. For comparison the 2018 Brewers only gave up 659. At least I am assuming Wiki is wrong and said player won it May 2009 and not May 2010.

    First name I wanted to go with was Mike Fiers. Checked his stats and seemed somewhat less confident seeing as the nuts month he had was only 4 starts (25 innings, about 1.00 ERA, 9.00 K/9). I was pretty surprised after I looked up who it was. I won’t spoil it for others (like people love to do), but I will say it was after the Sheets/Sabathia era.

    Okay, well first off you are assuming my definition of not that much and yours are the same...probably not even close. Secondly he is a rental and also is a 1st baseman. Not the most valuable thing in the world. While Abreu is doing well (.840 OPS) hardly something super special for his position. Fangraphs has him at the #17 first baseman in baseball this year. We may be the only NL team that lacks an elite 1st baseman. Seriously, look, the 1st baseman’s in the NL are ridiculous so far this year. On the AL side the Astros, Rangers, and A’s are potentially possible teams if the later are still competing. I am sure a few of them may have DH problems, but that is also the easiest position to fill. The odds they get into a bidding war with a team trying to get him to play in the field is a little more unlikely as that team will naturally offer more because having them in the field too brings more value. I don’t think he would cost a Top 5 guy and honestly probably not even a Top 10 guy in our weaker system.

    Yah, Abreu could be a pretty solid option and shouldn’t cost all that much. Wouldn’t shock me come July if we get him.

    What exactly did Moose do/say to get booted? According to Moose's postgame he asked the ump about his call on a check swing and the ump said he 100% swung. Moose said that's a lot of percent the ump got pissy and tossed him. So pretty much Moose was being a douche. I still think he was ultimately tossed because he just kept talking. Though saying “that is a lot of percent” clearly shows he was just trying to be condescending towards the umpire and a real conversation was not in the works.

    Well after a guy whiffs you three times you probably should praise him and deflect from sucking so much after signing a gigantic deal.

    I am glad they aren’t rushing him into the rotation. Everyone sees his past or one exciting report/video and think he is 2017 Nelson ready to dominate. Reality is...probably night. Give him a little more time, be sure, and have him cemented I to that rotation. The last thing we needed is another unstable arm causing a ruckus on the staff after how the season started.

    Brandon Woodruff is in an awful position as far as when he will hit FA. If he has a great season I would then consider extending him in return for 2 FA years. That being said he is so far from FA this offseason it would have to look like an absolute bargain and a no brainer. Probably a more realistic option in 2-3 years. I never have problems extending players, but it has to reflect the risk and how much leverage we have.

    I disagree, umps are not kings or gods. Moose was not confrontational, you could see his body language. Easterbrook was just being a power hungry turd. No, Moustakas was wasting time when there was a game being played. Play the game or get off the field. After a pitch in the next inning you are going to go have a conversation, lol no. Moustakas was probably the bigger douche in that situation.

    Moose went over just to ask him about the check swing call. Calmly ask him about it. Estabrook said "It was 100% a swing, I'm not talking about this". Moose says "I just want to have a conversation about it" and Estabrook tossed him. You can talk to the refs, period. These umpires that throw guys out of game for petty stuff like this have no place in this game, Moose 1000000% did not "get what he deserved". This guy has a problem, based on this and his strike zone yesterday...dude should go back to umping high school baseball. Nah, he could have talked before/after the inning if it was oh so important. He didn’t, and wanted to have a full blown conversation in the middle of an inning. Moose was trying to create a scene and got tossed. I am great-fully glad random arguments that have nothing to do with what just happened on the field are not allowed.

    Sorry Moose, but that isn’t really the time to have a conversation. He deserved to be tossed...the Ump may be a douche, but Moose got what he deserved.
