  1. I know it sucks right now that we are gaining zero ground, but we have done about as well as one could expect us to do. Since mid August we have won almost every series. We have won 2/3 from the Dodgers and Rockies, won 3/4 against the Nationals, swept the Cubs at Wrigley, and now about to win a series vs. Miami. Even if the postseason isn't in our future this team has played very well down the stretch even after losing Nelson. We are a pretty easy bet to finish over .500 when there were zero expectations of us doing so. Makes me really excited about next year where hopefully we are winning 90+ games.
  2. I mean this year has been incredible, but 2016? I don't really think 2016 was even good. What was so great about it?
  3. Wow a day after being absolute trash here he is again. What a gift of a chance for the Crew. Well nevermind...Braun finished that one off.
  4. Our entire season is in dire need of a comeback here. Going 4 back at this venture would be pretty bad.
  5. We play them four times...we can easily catch them. We just swept them at Wrigley. I understand they didn't have their best starters going, but we played them well each time. Winning 3/4 wouldn't be that hard to imagine.
  6. Parking was good and concessions were staffed like a normal day. Most concession stands were open too.
  7. They did all they could, even have people coming from all over the country, what else can they do with less than 48 hours notice. Geez... Agreed. A hugeness amount of their ticket sales is well outside the Milwaukee area. Hard to drop everything to go to a game short notice.
  8. Also I don't know if anyone mentioned it, but there is a T-shirt made for this road home series to commemorate it so to speak. The proceeds go to hurricane relief. $25 shirt.
  9. The people at Miller Park didn't seem to get an special treatment like they do at the artic tailgate. In Twitter those people were absolutely steaming mad at how long it took. One person claimed to be 11th in line and did not get DB seats. I understand if you want to save money that's a good option, but wow no thanks for me.
  10. Yah let's load the thing like it is a postseason game for practice.
  11. Well I can honestly say when the site opened at 10am those diamond box seat we extremely limitted if not unavailable. The seat map doesn't update well and if you looked at it towards the start diamond box was bare while the infield seats behind the diamond box were full. So not sure how that all worked. All I am saying is there is absolutely no way those tickets were first come first served for diamond box at 10am.
  12. NFL is a terrible example because they have a salary cap. Not saying salary caps makes things fair, but it works pretty well in the NFL. We are at a massive disadvantage in the MLB. Wild Cards are a big accomplishment believe it or not for us.
  13. There were a few reasons given according to the Brewers: 1) That is what the Marlins preferred if the game could not be in Miami. 2)Miller Park was the only back-up ever considered because the Marlins wanted to wait it out as long as possible to see if it could be played in Miami. This leaves little time to find other arrangements and makes it a huge hastle. 3) MLB was also more than OK with it being in Miller Park because we have a roof. That way there is no potential for even more problems if the game were to be rained out.
  14. Season ticket holders must have gotten dibs on the field diamond box. There were absolutely never any at 10am. Friday sold out pretty fast, only scraps left at this point.
  15. We do this and do it well. Haha that we do, that we do. Maybe they stick the Marlins mascot up on Bernie's slide.
  16. You guys are looking way to deeply into this. The Marlins are the ones who wanted to play in Milwaukee. This was their idea. As someone else mentioned this will likely be a home game in all honesty. Only difference is when we bat and maybe we end up wearing actual road jerseys. I am sure we will have all our celebrations like normal. If they wanted the most boring depressing experience ever for fans they would have sent us to a neutral site.
  17. Brewers now 3 games back on that second wildcard and 2.5 back on the division. Division is still obviously the easier path as they play their divisional foes down the stretch and those divisional foes have the opportunity to beat on eachother. With the Marlins up next they have a good chance to make up some ground if they can't start beating inferior talent like they should.
  18. Friday will feel like a home game for the Marlins...only 10k in attendance.
  19. Definitely getting some tickets for this. Was sad no more cheap weekend series were left(Cubs last one). Amazing MLB is allowing this, but we have an upper hand having a roof. Last thing they want is rainouts this late in the season in this situation.
  20. I too have seen them play the Reds a couple trillion times by no intentional reason. Johnny Cueto almost ALWAYS pitched too. Then my friend took me to a double header White Sox vs. Kansas City Royals...ANNNNND Johnny Cueto for I think the 3rd time that year for me...think it was my 4th or 5th game total. Amazing we won't play against the Rockies to open things or play a divisional foe to end things.
  21. There is no reason to be thinking about the wild card cause we just put ourselves 4 games back on the 12th of September. Might just be division or bust.
  22. Vikings new stadium had issues similar to what you are mentioning.
  23. The goal is a neutral site, St Louis wouldn't be remotely neutral. Playing at a neutral site means almost by default that turnout won't be great. Unless they get creative and play in a southern state with a nice college stadium that doesn't have pro baseball. Texas and Houston played their neutral site series in tampa...which must have the worst attendance by far in all of baseball even when their team is playing. Based on that, Baltimore would make a ton of sense. Someone mentioned if played in Miami it would be terrible attendance. My point is it won't be different elsewhere.
