  1. I'm not sure how anyone could blame Capers at this point. They hit on the subject pretty well why the Packers are having issues on defense. It's hard to stop the run when the DBs need extra help and if you try to help against the run then you are practically forcing yourself to let Dez Bryant have 1 on 1. Sure you could then blame Thompson for not having good enough players on the team, but the injuries have been beyond brutal this year and have yet to let up. We have inexperienced players being thruster into starting minutes when they just don't have the experience to not screw up.
  2. Everyone on here acting like they know for sure Thompson won't sign a notable free agent. Didn't he once sign Charles Woodson and Julius Peppers? If I remember right Julius Peppers was signed because we desperately needed a pass rusher. So I think this offseason could fit the bill if the right player becomes available.
  3. So the DBs are greatly improved, other than not being able to cover anyone? That tells you how bad they were before.
  4. I sent you a message about Rickie Weeks items, but the email got bounced back to me saying it was undeliverable.
  5. I actually think the DBs have greatly improved over this win steak. Coverage has gotten a lot better. However I think the struggle go past just not having the best players out there. How many times do we see wide open receivers because players aren't even playing the right zone. They have no chance to cover guys because no one is doing the right thing. Do our players just never learn or is the coaching just not getting it done? This was a fine excuse back when the injuries happened, but some of these players have gotten enough experience to stop making this many mistakes. Like what has been said I hope they can get healthy and get reinforcements back. Rodgers is going to ball again, but I really would like to stop depending on 30+ points to win it.
  6. I know Rodgers always gets the credit, but shout out to the receivers today making amazing catches all day. True difference maker on the offensive side of the ball. Making tough catches on Rodgers good throws and his bad ones. They came to play.
  7. Chiefs would be a nice matchup for us. Weak offense that isn't much of a deep passing team. Smith just isn't smart enough to burn our defense for a ton of points.Hill might cause some issues with his speed, but we still won games dealing with Beckham/Bryant. Honestly it would be a lot like playing the Giants again. Of course we have to run another game before even getting to that stage.
  8. Next week is the Packers Super Bowl in my opinion. If the Falcons can't stop the Packers no one in the AFC will(just my prediction). Today was a nightmare match up for the Packers and still outplayed the other team. Next week will be a shoot out. They have a real chance at a Super Bowl.
  9. I will say this I don't mind Berman for football. The HR Derby is brutal, but when it comes to football he is fine.
  10. Maybe the Brewers are going to start keeping relievers for the future and don't feel like making them super expensive in the future due to saves?
  11. The hit on Nelson was bad. Watching the replay the defender doesn't just accidentally hit him with his helmet. He clearly, at the last moment, puts his head down and leads with it. It a blatant illegal hit and just plain dangerous. I guess you can argue this isn't the case and everyone can have their opinion. However you are then flat out wrong, period. Once again I am not one of those complainers I am just stating what is true. I'm not sitting here with a tissue because Nelson is out. Nor will I be one of those people using it as a reason the Packers lose today if that just so happens.
  12. You need to watch it again then because you are just plain wrong. It looked bad in real time and even worse in slow motion. He deliberately lowered his head to hit Nelson as hard as he could with his helmet. It was a clear attempt to injure Nelson with an illegal hit. And no QBs don't get hit like that all the time. If a QB got hit like that we would Here about it for a long time.
  13. I think it is a good signing. There is definitely some upside to him and he is a good bet to be worth $6mil for us. Intriguing to say the least.
  14. He took his SO/9 from 7.3 to 10.2. H9 went from over 10 to 6.7 WHIP from 1.55 to 1.1 Those numbers create a lot of upside along with the arsenal he brings to the table. HR numbers drop and he could put up good numbers and he is a known name. Thats a great piece to gamble on as the return in July could be nice. They have lots of money and no obvious closer. Why not?
  15. Not sure why there should be a fine? It was a normal legal hit by the Giants defender that came at a bad time when Nelson was reaching for the ball and got hit in the ribs instead of in his arms. There was nothing the defender did that would warrant a fine. It was not a legal hit. You cannot lead with the crown of your helmet. Did you watch the game? They even had that "expert" guy chime in and confirm that it was not legal.
  16. Yah if we win I think everyone is hoping it is the Seahawks on the other side. The Seahawks are not a very good team and we murdered them last time. Things probably wouldn't be that bad again, but I have a hard time seeing the Packers losing even if it is in Seattle. Seattle isn't good at all though and I don't expect them to beat the Falcons.
  17. Our OL is as great as people think it is. I am sure Rodgers makes them statistically look better, but that OL can't be much better pass blocking. Rodgers is really in tune with that line and they know how to block for him. Rodgers owes a lot of credit to what that line does for him. This game comes down to the Packers holding Elliot in check. Because if they do that it is Prescott vs. Rodgers and if Rodgers plays like he has he won't be outdueled. Rodgers loves domes and it is a big reason he dominated to his last Super Bowl win. Cowboys are a dang good team though.
  18. madtownhawk- It probably wasn't like that. Likely he added a team to his No-trade list not the other way around(like adding the Dodgers). The team that now can trade for him without approval probably makes little to no sense(think Twins or something).
  19. The Dodgers won't give up two big time prospects for Doizer...they won't offer enough for Villar. Not even close.
  20. Yah the reason you don't rush more is the fact you open up more possibilities outside of the Hail Mary. Honestly outside of Rodgers how many QBs have multiple in their career? Hail Marys have horrible success rates. You want the other team to throw a Hail Mary.
  21. First one is an easy no. Already have done similar and it just looks bad. Third one is also disqualified for having EST. 1970. Why put that on the shirt? No one cares and it is unnecessary. It's extra clutter.
  22. Yup I don't like going for it on 4th no matter what. That was a crappy offense that was already struggling. Why even give them the chance at a short field? Dumb. Aaron Rodgers finds 9 seconds to throw on a normal play. I am sure he would appreciate if other teams rushed more players. I don't think Aaron Rodgers is 99% lucky on his Hail Marys. There is a reason he keeps finding ways to do it. Richard Rodgers one was in credible timing/accuracy/box out. The Cardinals playoff one was to a singular receiver and one incredible throw. Those aren't luck. Those are incredible plays by a player who can do everything.
  23. Except it didn't matter who was running because they knew exactly what was coming. Montgomery is probably a better power back and when you call a predictable run you are banking on the power of the OL/RB to get you past the marker.
  24. Christine Michael seems like a solid complementary back, but as a feature back? I guess maybe for us, but I don't think he is all that great. He has done well with our offensive line so far hopefully it continues. I love the energy he brings. He is energized to the max every play no matter what. I don't know if anyone else caught it, but on the big punt return he made a huge block and was hyped up about that even. Packers probably want to give him more carries too, but he just doesn't have the playbook down yet. They can't afford for him to botch a play. Those turn into big loses and even fumbles.
  25. 80% of the time McCarthy uses his timeouts before the half and the other team goes down the field to score a touchdown. That may be the first time this year I recall him doing it and the defense actually getting the stop...let alone us putting up points at the end.
