  1. Can probably end the holding him until this winter talk. The fact they are sitting him is a pretty clear sign he is not playing for us again.
  2. Adam McCalvy 9m Adam McCalvy‏ @AdamMcCalvy "I have not been traded," Jonathan Lucroy says. Remember, he has a limited no-trade clause. He declined to say whether that was in play now. The Brewer Nation 8m The Brewer Nation‏ @BrewerNation Counsell says that David Stearns stopped down and told him that things are progressing on Lucroy so they thought it best not to play him.
  3. Well if we trade Lucroy for a deal like that it is what it is. Injured last offseason and no heavy interest this deadline. Could always hold onto him, but there is risk in that.
  4. Well I mean he is still in the front office right? Maybe there is hope.
  5. I am betting the plan was to sit Lucroy the last game before the deadline the entire time. Very injury prone position as we saw yesterday.
  6. That offer from the Mets is dissapointing, but WAY WAY WAY better than a comp pick.
  7. He could still exist. We may just be hearing a lot of Mets talk due to someone leaking so much info while other teams are tight lipped.
  8. Mind you the Mets were behind other teams yesterday. Hopefully with that deal and that isn't an improved offer.
  9. Or at least Dominic Smith, Nimmo, and some other promising pieces.
  10. Dissapointing Ken Rosenthal---Sources: #Mets made three-player offer to #Brewers for Lucroy, headed by d’Arnaud. Second piece believed to be Nimmo or comparable player.
  11. Wasn't he the same guy who sensed someone might overpay for Lucroy a few days ago? To be fair didn't he say they may not get what they want?
  12. Buster Olney‏ @Buster_ESPN The Brewers continue to be engaged with the Mets in talks for catcher Jonathan Lucroy, who fits NYM in this way: $4m salar Mets still in on Jay Bruce too according to Jerry Crasnick. Which may affect their Lucroy prayer if a deal happens there. Though it sounds like they may prefer a bigger splash in Lucroy.
  13. Way more. Stearns sold way way way low on Davis. Simply put Nottingham isn't going to be a good catcher if he stays there at all and his bat isn't MLB 1st base caliber. Actually if you look at Segura in over 400 pa, he sold low on him too. Ditto KRod. Back to CF, we really don't have one on the roster until we get down to Phillips. Everyone else is at best a stop gap. Yah I think they probably sold low on Davis. Only because Nottingham is a dumpster fire in the field. Segura I just don't think he would have ever turned it around here and still think he is playing over his head. We got Isan Diaz too so I will let it slide. K-Rod was a bit harder to predict. Easy to look back now that we know the barren wasteland for relievers looks like. However we never got good value for K-Rod in all the trades of him so why would this time be any different? We dropped the ball in my opinion though. To say the least Stearns has been pretty questionable trading MLB assets so far.
  14. You mean the same guy that claimed we liked their offer and we were going to accept it 14 hours ago?
  15. His pitch location was incredible yesterday and that is why he had success. That being said I think he gives up too much hard contact and is only a two pitch pitcher which worries me. How long can he succeed throwing just two pitches as a starter?

  17. I wish the Rangers would either find their starter or give up on finding one because I feel like that is a big delay on Lucroy's market right now.
  18. Is that why they are trying to get a big time pitcher? They reportedly offed a ton for Sale. I'm sure they have offed a lot for lesser starters too.
  19. For what it is worth reports are the Rangers interest in Norris is [expletive deleted] made up by the Padres. Also reports/feelings are that the Mets are most motivated to get Lucroy. Edit - Acronyms for swear words are still swear words. -And That
  20. Why does every time a team doesn't want to sell the farm for one of our rentals people must resort to the "have fun with ___" line? The Rangers prefer pitching and want that instead. They may get a pitcher that has just a big of an impact. Not to mention Norris has been a fine catcher the past few years and still controllable 2 more years vs. 1 for Lucroy. I bet they will have fun with Gallo when he is an All Star first baseman if he pans out too. Can play that game both ways.
  21. Santana has been injured and Puig doesn't play CF. So no spot for him. I'm not giving up on Santana.
  22. Where? Where are these reports?
  23. I'm just going to say...if we stuck Gallo at 3B so we could have a Gallo/Carter combo that would be popcorn worthy. I'd never do it on a competing team due to all the Ks, but man it would be fun to watch.
  24. He was a sitting duck at 3rd or home. He had nowhere to go last night.
  25. And if what happened to Cervelli happened to him we'd be going through the whole song and dance we went through last winter. Injury prone. Has to prove he's healthy etc., except this time we have no leverage because if we don't trade him in the winter, his value goes down a ton. But you also don't trade him just to trade him...you get EXACTLY what you want, or you keep him. It's not going to set the franchise back any further if he played out his contract in Milwaukee. Uhh what...
