Below is how I view the pick of Maker. It just is not a very good pick as it appears right now. They don't have their own D-League team to truly prepare him how they want him and even then that is not a great way to prepare NBA draft talent(MAY change soon). He is raw...very raw. Like still on a newborn steer. Still need to eat right, grow, slaughtered, packaged, and then cooked right. I mean sure he has a lot of potential, but he hasn't even tapped into it at all. The odds of him actually being great is probably way lower than one would want. I wish the Bucks the best of luck though. They could look brilliant someday. I think this is a prime example of a team falling in love with a player too much. Sam Vecenie of CBSSports.com: Maker -- D. "This is just not great value. Maker is the rawest player in this draft, and is still two years away from legitimately playing in an NBA game due to his lack of strength and limited basketball instincts. To make matters worse, Maker likely won't be able to get time on the floor to improve because the team does not have a D-League affiliate to stick him with. It's hard for me to see how this one works out well for them."
