  1. Rutherford could easily be gone by the time we pick. Getting a lot of love recently.
  2. Exactly even worst case scenario(is there one?) we end up with a really good player. Pitcher/Hitter they are going to immediately be the brightest young player to enter our system in a long long time.
  3. White Sox have Rodon or Fulmer to headline a package. Though with Rodon in the rotation he probably is not available. I could see a package around Fulmer...it would be crazy, but wouldn't any package for Lucroy be crazy?
  4. Jonathan Lucroy is actually doing pretty darn well for Lucroy standards. He typically starts off slow with little power. He hasn't had the power so far, but outside of that he has looked really solid. Best part...he absolutely tears it up in June/July right when teams will start to heavily watch him.
  5. Look at Segura's April stats over the course of his career. If you are wondering he hits over .300 in his career during April/May and then reverts to the scrub he is. I would expect the same until he proves otherwise. If you forgot he started off amazing last April too.
  6. Looks like the game is archived on ESPN3. I might have to look up my credentials tonight and check it out as his mound opponent as fellow likely first rounder Robert Tyler. Here is the recap. At one point Puk retired 16 in a row before running into trouble in the seventh. Its looking less likely that Puk could fall to us with more starts like that. You are forgetting that there are other players out there too. While Puk is doing some good for his value and possibly getting into the Top 5 talent wise there are a lot of other good players too. There are other players rising their stock and there will probably be many more Top 5 talents than just 5 players. I for some reason doubt 3/4 of the top picks are going to be pitchers with 2 of them being high school kids. Mock drafts might have them all go before us, but when the actual draft day comes I think at least 2 of the teams before us take bats opening up a big time pitcher if we want it. Last time I checked offense is a lot more valuable and becoming quite popular at the top of the draft. Also if 3 of the teams before us take all the headlining pitchers then I am perfectly fine with that. Opens up the door to get on of the best offensive players in the draft.
  7. Well if you want my opinion no team is a no brainer because an expansion isn't a no brainer.
  8. Montreal is a no brainier if an international team has to be one of the 2 expansion teams...which it sound like it does for the most part...at least a high preference. They would be the easiest to obtain.
  9. Montreal is a no brainier honestly. Mexico is interesting, but that seems a lot more complicated. I think Cuba would be super cool, but for obvious reasons that won't happen.
  10. I think I I have finally figured out why I don't particularly like this new uniform(outside of it being the blue jersey). Imagine yourself walking through the concourses of Miller Park and off in the distance is the New Era hat stand. As your get closer you see EVERY logo on EVERY possible color combination known to mankind. That's honestly probably where the idea for this uniform came from.
  11. White Sox have gotten awful production from their catching so far. That is a team that has treaded water and Sale is quickly moving towards FA. Wouldn't be shocked if they go hard if they are in the race(which I think they will be). One thing is for sure...there will be no shortage of teams needing a catcher.
  12. Breaking up the Cubs from both the Brewers and Cardinals? Also both Chicago teams in the same division? Three NYC team together? You also stacked a lot of high payroll teams and stacked a bunch of low payroll teams which probably wouldn't make a whole lot of sense. Mariners/Pirates would probably be pretty darn upset. I know you mostly just did it on geographic location, but just pointing out some of the issues with that.
  13. Not even close to a good day! And we weren't competitive! Dang you called it.
  14. Yah I remember back in the day when he poured on the hits, strung together many multi-hit games, and was hitting .333 on the season. Dang that was fun...felt like he could hit anything. Really hope it continues for him so he doesn't end up one of those guys getting paid $20mil to suck.
  15. I'm up for making a call to Biloxi and getting our Wang back. Too soon man...too soon. I don't want to watch that again yet.
  16. Hey you aren't hating on Loe are you...that guy had a sick slider.
  17. If I was the manager Domingo Santana would not be playing the next game after that. Don't be lazy.
  18. I would say starting rotation...but that might be an improvement.
  19. Right it isn't that hard to find guy to at least put up a mid 3 ERA in the bullpen. If you can't keep it under 4 get the heck out.
  20. How did we get stuck with all these scrubs in the bullpen...oh yah Smith/Knebal on the DL.
  21. That's what I thought. And his velocity sips really fast during a start.
  22. 92-94 was the scouting report when we called him up.
  23. Some guys just start out struggling. I mean heck Khris Davis is an established MLB player and he is downright dreadful so far.
  24. Not to mention his fast ball is sitting at 89-91...not going to work. Well, yeah, but it's not like he threw gas last year. This is what he is and, if he can't command the curve, he can't get guys out. And as I type this Ricky Nolasco takes one to the warning track. Not saying he did, but all of his fastballs in the 2nd were 88mph except one at 87mph and one at 90mph. That seems low even for him.
  25. I am actually pretty impressed. It has been like a month since his issues in spring training. It is early, but at least refreshing to not hear about it every other weak.
