  1. If you are going to sit here and call someone stupid and say they have no clue maybe you should at least learn what you are talking about first. You DO NOT slide into a base with your fingers!! Well I guess if you want to break your fingers(Segura) maybe you would. So please before you go around insulting a player and being arm chair coach you should probably learn what you are talking about first. You sound like a fool with what you are calling him and you are so badly wrong yourself.
  2. Fans at the stadium are biased and they usually show crummy replays on the board which probably looked pretty decent. They didn't see the nice ones FS Wisconsin provided us with.
  3. Guy is going to get killed throwing 90mph with his change up at 86mph and a not so great ?slider?. I was not impressed at all with his stuff from that showing.
  4. Tyler Wagner supposedly pitches 94mph sometimes 96mph according scouting reports and today he is consistently at 90mph. His whole arsenal is a good 4mph under what reports say.
  5. That throw was pathetic for a play that ended up being relatively close at 2nd base. Maybe if he could have, oh, I don't know, stepped into that throw he might have had a shot at the slow-running Trumbo. Then another sub par blocking job by Maldonado. Tomorrow can't come soon enough.
  6. Braun is going to be 32, at this point I think it's safe to say "he is what he is" in RF; thus switching between LF or RF depending on the needs of the club - or at least the idea of it - is not 'incredibly stupid'. This season is lost at this point, so if Braun sliding over to LF better accommodates another player so be it. I disagree. His age means little except for maybe his speed. He is still struggling mightily with reaction time and routes out there in RF. Noticeably worse than when he was out in LF. He slowly got better in LF and I would expect the same in RF.
  7. Hmmm well I can't think of a lot of reasons: 1. You need to get up and stretch for whatever reason. 2. Takes HALF an inning. 3. Your kids are being little brats and need to walk around. 4. Brewers are playing like garbage and want to get something for your money. 5. You really were excited for it. 6. The people next to you are driving you nuts.
  8. Pitching Framing=/=Game Calling I don't even know how you measure game calling. Is it the catcher or pitcher who is good? Did the catcher call for an 0-2 fastball or did the pitcher override him? I mean I don't know how you statistically figure that out.
  9. I'm sorry but moving Braun back to LF would be incredibly stupid and would accomplish nothing. If this team was competing maybe it would make some sense, but it is a lost season. Just leave him in RF so he can keep getting experience there and hopefully improve some. Because in two months he will be right back RF. Not sure why some think Khris Davis was having such a brutal season, he went down with a 113 OPS+...better than last year and quite a bit above average. The guy has gone through some rough patches, but he has been one of the better hitters on this team and one of the only guys taking walks.
  10. Hey...still better than Juan Centeno. Scary he is our 3rd catcher.
  11. Wonder what it takes to just release Lohse and give a young guy a chance. No one is going to trade for a 6.50ERA pitcher serving up bombs. A couple more garbage starts and might as well just let him go hook on with a contender on a MiLB deal.
  12. I predict Lohse is released August 1st. (Not Really...but more and more likely he isn't going to be traded period...none the less for something valuable.)
  13. Bobble head day should not be a consideration for how you manage your roster. No, but like said by someone else you probably want to avoid doing so. It would have a lot of negative impacts towards fans. The kind of deal we can get today vs. after June 15th probably is not different at all. So why trade him before then? Yah you could make the argument that he could get injured or he may just suck the next month...but then I'd argue why didn't we trade him a month ago.
  14. I'm sure there are PR considerations too. Trading Gomez prior to his June 15th bobble head day would look idiotic the way they constantly promote it. Have to balance out all the risks in these potential trades.
  15. Rumor has it Doug Melvin wants to act early and not wait all the way to July. But that rumor also has the speculation Attanasio wants to wait until after the draft.
  16. Madison is definitely not a possible option. Look up the locations of AAA teams, they are all away from MLB teams except three. The ones within 2 hours or so of an MLB team draw quite below average. Yes I am sure there are other factors, but putting yourself close to the big league market doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Though I am sure Madison could support it. The Mallards have the largest collegiate summer ball attendence if I remember right drawing close to 7k a game. Which would be a decent AAA attendence. Still I think the goal is to expand into different markets...not compete with yourself.
  17. Abreu was not a bid...he was Free Agent with no penalties. It seemed like the Brewers were just being used in the White Sox negotiations though. We were basically just bidding up the White Sox.
  18. The starting lineups, yes...the others are not.
  19. I am as big a Brewers fan as there possibly is but I don't think there is any way whatsoever that this team will have, or deserves to have, two all-stars. Why not? It is an individual accomplishment. I was being pretty positive thinking when I listed K-Rod as a All Star, but even so if he dominates and is up there with the big names his teams record will mean nothing.
  20. I had to stop after you started talking about Fielder and comparing him to 3 players combined with the longest contract being 4 years. At that point I knew it was just a rant about any little thing you could find...even if it didn't make sense.
  21. I kinda disagree. look at the comments on any article that so much as mentions ryan or the brewers on every baseball website and you will still see how big of a deal it is among baseball fans. Sports websites have horribly negative comment sections. That and when it comes to Ryan Braun articles who is motivated to comment? The Braun haters are. Really isn't that big of a deal. No team's fans will care if they acquire an MVP caliber player. None.
