  1. I used to want to extend Lucroy till I realized he would be 32 in the first year of an extension...no thank you.
  2. That and Jason Marquis is horrible/somehow still in the majors. But today he will go 7 strong giving up 2 runs.
  3. Honestly I could see some coverage of minor league prospects during pre game/post game so we don't have to hear how bad the Brewers did. The other day I turned the game off after 3 innings because that one commercial ticked me off. Less talk about the MLB probably a good idea. I know you wanted funny ideas...I had to be all serious.
  4. I have never been a fan of fire sales...but dang I think this team needs one. If they traded Gomez/Lucroy now they could shorten their time as a basement dweller. Add together all the prospects they get along the way plus a key FA signing or two when ready(think Lester with the Cubs) and hey maybe we have a bright young team in 2019.
  5. No one they already had two other catchers
  6. I wouldn't completely discount guys currently at AA like Wagner, Brooks Hall, or Hobbs Johnson from debuting at some point this year and lets not forget Hiram Burgos, who's currently at Brevard, but who's got major league experience and could come around. Hey when the wheels come off like they have this year, teams go through a lot of pitchers. I can't see any way the pitchers you just listed get a shot at a starting gig. Thornburg, Crazy, and Jungman are all waaaay in front on the depth chart.
  7. You could argue that a manager doesn't usually have a positive impact, but I definitely think a manager can have a negative impact.
  8. A good month I would say...possibly a little shorter if minor or 2 weeks or so if major.
  9. Good Lucroy has been utter trash. Can't get worse
  10. Id imagine the stitches make it heal faster. He also made it seem like it wouldn't stop bleeding.
  11. Honestly Lucroy is not a part of the Brewers future. The Brewers won't compete the next two years and extending a 32 year old catcher(his age in what would be first year of any extension) would be a horrible idea. I think they will hold onto him for now though. I would trade him for Swihart and Owens in a heart beat.
  12. Anyone who hasn't hit arbitration shouldn't be traded and surely won't unless the Brewers are BLOWN away.
  13. Scooter Gennett cut open his finger in the shower trying to grab some body wash. Out till Wednesday according to his tweet. https://instagram.com/p/1s_VNeCR0C/
  14. Yah when he made that claim that he was going to hit against lefties Roenicke figured he would be doing well against RHPs. If he is hitting .140 off RHPs I don't think he could even foul one off facing a LHP.
  15. So I see some are starting to throw Garza in the gutter after just 3 starts.
  16. RR is the shift manager. Doug Melvin is the architect of this disaster and he is the one who should get the brunt of the blame. He's the one ultimately in charge of stocking the Brewers armory, and let's face it, the Brewers have been showing up to gun fights wielding butter knives. I wouldn't usually think the owner would shoulder much blame, but I think he is the one who is to blame most. He is the one who decides to try and compete even though they shouldn't. That hurts the farm system and forces us to sign aging veterans etc., then Doug Melvin who listens to Attanasio, and then Roenicke. I usually defend Doug Melvin because he is just doing what his boss tells him to, but while the talent might be there these players don't mix well. To many free swingers and no balance on the roster...he should have known.
  17. How I envision the Brewers arriving at Miller Park tomorrow. http://i1241.photobucket.com/albums/gg515/TonyPlush/trashbrewers.jpg
  18. Don't trust gamecast...it can be super inaccurate.
  19. Just curious, does that solve anything? Of course not it doesn't matter at all. The team has already dug themselves into a hole and won't finish .500...it isn't like changing the manager will take us to the playoffs. It does say that the Brewers know the team is garbage and run badly on a coaching level. Not that the coaching staff is the only problem or even the biggest problem...but it is the easiest to change. Just to be clear it isn't like I am calling for him to be fired after this week. I can't go to summer games so it doesn't effect my ticket purchasing until August
  20. If this continues another week I will not go to another game with Reonicke as the manager. Team is a mess is every way possible...no way the manager can't be axed for this joke.
  21. I was just thinking tomorrow I will have to add him to my list if he plays tomorrow. Sitting in RF....
  22. His arm does have a couple positives...no stupid throws and no guys advancing to second on plays at the plate that they didn't really have a chance at anyway.
