Given the expanded playoff it's very unlikely that this happens and the Brewers fall out of the race. They would need an incredible amount of other things to go wrong. Even as bad as things seem right now, they're still a first place team and coming into today 4 games over .500. They are not all that close to being sellers.

I mean because in addition to Freddie obviously not being able to locate pitches or throw the ball to second, they've had two different guys boot grounders, one of which a play most guys on the forum could have made

No what you need to do is look at Holds and add those to Saves, then you look at the number of blown saves and you can determine what a guy's percentage was with a lead.

Oh definitely, if they didn't have the injuries and underperformance in the rotation it wouldn't be that concerning that the lineup isn't scoring a lot. You can win and be really good with starting pitching, great closer, and defense.

I couldn't agree more about the expanded playoff. I don't want the Brewers to be just a couple games out of the third wild card when it's the all star break and they're 7 games under .500. You want them to have to go over the top with a big signing or big trade to put them over the top, not dumpster dive for bad veterans in hopes of an 84 win season because 84 wins could be good enough to get in.

My comment was based more on the season as a whole and how poorly ranked they are in most offensive categories, not one single game.

Well when you have a punchless lineup of singles hitters who strikeout a ton this will happen. They're not bottom 10 in all of baseball in most offensive categories for nothing.

This lineup is significantly worse than the last two years at many positions, tough problem to fix when you need five more bats in the lineup.

Oh good the lefty platoon lineup again that can't hit lefties at all. Have to make sure rowdy sits so someone can go 0-4 in his place

Yeah but it does no good for anyone to put a guy who is that far from big league talent on the team. It's a year of wasted development for a young player and probably probably a massive confidence hit. It's not surprising he only played one more game in the big leagues after that season.

This was a huge series too, especially with the rays coming up. Brewers are very lucky they didn't get swept.

Yeah, this team asks a lot of Corbin, thats how its designed. Its not like they hit the ball. He has to be really good or they lose

This year might be far worse than previous years by the end, CF, RF, 2B, DH might be completely terrible, Adames isn't hitting either but I'd think he'd turn it around.

It's just always going to happen when you have so many hitters who can't hit lefties. They need to get rid of hitters who can't hit lefties and find more who can. This has been a massive organizational failure for several years now.
