  1. I liked the thinking, was a great spot to use Williams, just tough to manage when you have a severe lack of pitching.
  2. PSA for everyone. Don't worry about LOB luck. It happens, there's going to be stretches where runners get left of base and the big hit just doesn't fall in. The important thing is to keep getting runners on base.
  3. There we go, that's how you get a hit with runners on base!
  4. These FS1 announcers are absolutely flabbergasted that a team has one run on five hits. What does it take to get baseball announcers who regularly watch baseball games?
  5. If he strikes out less than 40% of the time with that new organization, then maybe he'll get regular playing time.
  6. It really wouldn't make a difference with this rotation and bullpen. Better to keep the prospects.
  7. See it absolutely does. If the pitcher throws with his left hand, nobody can hit the ball. If they throw with their right hand, they can hit the ball.
  8. Tyrone Taylor knows how to hit a fastball down the middle. Now he needs to show the rest of his teammates.
  9. Yeah like Rock just said, gotta go station to station. Even though it's the 2nd inning, can't take an extra base if it's given to you.
  10. Are there big leaguers out there who can hit a ball thrown by the left hand? And if so, what does it cost to get some of them on this team?
  11. Only a ten man bullpen right now. Gonna punt on this game already?
  12. Yeah I saw he got shelled again the other day, I know this year hasn't worked out for him like we hoped, but still.
  13. I remember a game where he did this. Was like a rare large Saturday night crowd and he gives up six in the top of the first.
  14. And there's no way Ethan Small could take a start? Even Josh Linblom, no chance? It has to be ******* George Costanza?
  15. I wasn't able to watch it but I think they said the damage was done in a span of eight pitches, so they didn't really have time to get anyone up that quickly I guess.
  16. Yeah I'm with you on this one too. Sure he has a right to opt out, but it's tough to really be a team leader the next year after that. I think just about every restriction put out there was ridiculous and forcing healthy people to "quarantine" was completely asinine, so I mean I get it, if you've made your money it's maybe best to step away from all that, but on the other hand, he was the only one on the team that did that.
  17. So I wasn't able to watch today until the end, can someone walk me through how Perdomo and Strezlecki blow the game in the 8th with no one else pitching? Is this another one of the magical new rules where someone can't pitch three days in a row even though pitchers have been doing that forever?
  18. Nope, and errors are not a part of OBP either.
  19. If they were to make it as a wild card, do they get home games in the first series or would they all be on the road like how they did it in 2020?
  20. Welcome to today's baseball. It's not 1999 anymore. Offense and batting averages are down everywhere.
