  1. And you don't think a bad decision has ever been made during that time period?
  2. That doesn't mean you use the last guy in the pen for 7th and 8th inning in a one run game.
  3. And as we saw in previous years, if you try to save them for when you "really need them" you often end up not using them.
  4. That's irrelevant to the decision making in the 7th and 8th inning.
  5. And now they have Suter warming in the pen. Suter should be way ahead of Perdomo in the bullpen pecking order and not be the guy you go to after Perdomo gives up a run.
  6. They had Williams up and throwing in the pen. Bring him in.
  7. Don't have to save 5 relievers for only when you have a lead. Boxberger or Williams or Gott would be fine. Also Suter does not have extreme R/L splits throughout his career and needs more innings. That would've been an ok choice.
  8. Urena was the last guy in the pen. Now it's Perdomo or Millner.
  9. Ok, mop up guy. It's not a good decision to use the mop up guy in a one run game in the 7th. Use him in the 5th to cover some innings when the starter gets shelled. It still might work though and I understand that.
  10. No this guy https://www.baseball-reference.com/register/player.fcgi?id=perdom002lui
  11. There were 10 guys who made the bullpen ahead of him out of spring training and he's been pretty bad throughout his entire career in the big leagues. I'm glad it worked, doesn't mean it's a great decision.
  12. Why go with the trashcan just up from AAA in a one run game in the 7th? There's plenty of better options who haven't pitched much so far.
  13. I'm shocked Wong has turned into a butcher this year.
  14. All home games should start at 9pm.
  15. Got exactly what you wanted, if positioned for a double play, the inning is over.
  16. Sounds like 50/50 to me. It's either a hit or it's not. Two possible outcomes.
  17. Much like official homerun distances. They are numbers for entertainment purposes only.
  18. Yeah if you believe any of that stuff. I once saw statcast predict a linedrive homerun to left would be a homerun in 30/30 MLB ballparks. Do you see the problem with that prediction?
  19. The key is to keep putting the ball in play, keep hitting it hard. Eventually enough of them fall for hits.
  20. Or just random variance? I haven't seen a fly ball hit by the Brewers get caught at the wall yet. Most have been well hit fly balls short of the warning track. Sometimes liners are caught in this sport.
