  1. This is why it's really important to hold 3 run deficits
  2. Well, given the pitching situation today, this was gonna be a tough one.
  3. They have to cover 7 innings from bullpen today. It doesn't matter what the score is, you need a guy who can pitch a few innings.
  4. Suter just doesn't have the command he used to in previous years. Should seriously consider slowing the tempo down.
  5. Yeah I was going to say, without looking it up, this Brewers team does not get on base nearly enough to have a high amount of runners stranded. I've been more surprised throughout the year that they've scored as many runs as they have given the low averages and low on base percentages.
  6. I like it, but now if we could just get it back to 50 like the old power 50 rankings things would be perfect.
  7. And why would vaccination status matter in the slightest bit for an emergency catcher called up for one game? Wouldn't it have to do with location and lack of risk of losing player while passing them through waivers, as others have mentioned?
  8. Yeah the "Yelich returning to MVP form" talk of a few weeks ago is long gone.
  9. Yeah I don't think Craig is gonna put Woody in the lineup based on a 3 ab sample size, especially when he probably hasn't picked up a bat in like a year.

  11. Until someone hits into a double play tomorrow or they strand a bunch of runners
  12. I mean if you think about it, you want your ace to be the one who gets the worst run support on the team. People always talk like it's a bad thing and it is for the individual starter and the individual win stat but nobody I'd rather have on the mound if the brewers score 3 or less runs.
  13. Well the closer isn't with the team and they played an extra innings game yesterday where five relievers pitched. I don't think there's anyone on the roster so bad you can't turn to them with a three run lead.
  14. Yeah I saw that after I made the post. Even more shocking. From the once proud franchise and arbiter of the unwritten rules of baseball.
  15. The St. Louis Cardinals used a position player to pitch with a lead in the 9th inning. I've never seen a team do that on the winning side (except for very deep into extra innings with no other options left). Honestly, one of the last organizations I would expect to pull something that disrespectful to the game.
  16. It's taken me about 15 years of first lurking and posting for the last 7 or so. I finally realize Woah Solvdd was supposed to be "woes solved".
  17. Might have to get a judges ruling on "mop up". I know tr*shc*n isn't acceptable.
  18. It's not that big of a deal and Hader needed the work anyway. Enjoy the win. This team is pretty great right now.
  19. I think middle relief would accurately describe him. The only real front end long reliever they've had would be Urena. Ashby could be that if the Brewers used Openers and had him pitch like 3rd - 7th inning or something.
  20. Yeah I see some confusion here from time to time. A "back end reliever" is a closer or setup man as they pitch at the end of the game. A "front end reliever" is a long reliever or someone else who would come into the 5th inning or earlier. A "middle reliever" pitches in the middle of the game like the 6th or 7th inning.
  21. That's some poor management to not put Hader in to start the 9th and not to have him ready once the tying run gets on deck.
