  1. Really it's 11/13 on the roster all starters or platoon guys who have been below average to terrible. 8!! hitting .200 or below. 9!!! with a sub .600 ops
  2. Luckily for Hiura, not a single regular in the lineup has hit much at all this year. Only two platoon, non-qualifiers have been somewhat productive in Rowdy and Victor. Might as well give him ABs until we find about six new position players who can hit a baseball.
  3. Good to see two solid starts from Woodruff after the rough spring and rough first start.
  4. This might be the worst year of brewer game television ads I can remember. I will actively go out of my way to never purchase a fizzy hard cider
  5. I know it's very hypothetical but it would be interesting to see how much of a difference there would be if it was 8 in each league and a seven game series each round. I know there's plenty of variance in baseball and the worst team can definitely win a 3 game series mid season against the best team, but I do wonder how it would be in a postseason best of 7.
  6. One thing that always made it a "crapshoot" was only four in each league getting in (I'm not really counting a WC game loser as any different than a one game playoff loser). Regardless of the sport #1s lose to #4s and #2s lose to #3s all the time. With the exception of 2020, you never actually had a postseason series between a good team and a bad team.
  7. Really good to see Corbin heading back out for the 7th.
  8. Definitely a warning moat instead of warning track
  9. Why would a fielding error by the Pitcher make a run an earned run compared to a fielding error by the LF?
  10. Yeah it's one thing when one starter struggles but all five have been bad, all five struggled to throw strikes.
  11. Working with a new catcher who was acquired after spring training and who's caught half or more than half of the innings so far is probably a big part of it too. Given the situation with the Severino suspension, this was not a time to have a strict platoon to start the year. Omar should have been in the lineup for the first 5 or 6 games of the year minimum.
  12. I expect at least six shutout innings from TBD tonight against this lineup.
  13. A pitch clock is honestly the only thing that will make a difference in shortening games. None of the other small gimmicks (intentional walks, three batter min, etc.) make any difference.
  14. If Cain can't be bothered to run out grounders anymore it's time to hang them up. Being paid far too much money to be a part time player anyway.
  15. He's played four games for Milwaukee, give me a break.
  16. It's reasonable to think they could be quite a bit worse than last year. They lost a huge part of the offense in Garcia and it's very possible Renfroe can't replace him. There's a number of players with strong years last year who may regress (Tellez, Adames for example). The only real addition is McCutcheon but that's not really an addition since DH is new to the league and everyone is adding a DH.
  17. It's a gamethread. People will be negative when the team plays bad.
  18. They all count the same. You don't want to lose three out of four against bad teams.
