  1. Stat chasing with your ace in an 8-0 game would not be an intelligent move. Stat chasing with one of our many aces
  2. Just get through 5 and we can rest easy. Either way with the new rules this game will count, there is no more starting a game over if it doesn't go 5 innings, but yeah it would be nicer to just get an easy 5 or 6 inning win or something.
  3. Not just that but they signed damaged goods. It would be as if the Packers signed bakhtiari this offseason to the big extension while recovering from knee surgery. You don't know how a guy is going to recover or if it will lead to changes in his swing that lead to other injuries.
  4. The save is listed on mlb.com Now it is, must've taken a proofreader to fix it.
  5. Is there something I'm missing here as to why Suter doesn't get credited with a save? It's not listed on the box score.
  6. They made this game a lot harder than it had to be, not every game has to be managed like the WS. You're facing the Cubs, you could just go 2 innings for Strickland, 2 Cousins, 1 Suter, or Sanchez, or Norris, or something where you use about 3 guys to cover the 5 bullpen innings. You really can't pitch Perdomo in anything other than complete garbage time. Cubs made things much tougher than it had to be too with this stupid split doubleheader. They're 7 inning games, normal doubleheader and you get everything done by 7p. But whatever, good to sweep the DH, 7 game lead now. Things are pretty good.
  7. Would think Boxberger and Norris are the only available arms left, assuming Counsell sticks with his plan of 1 inning max for all relievers.
  8. You just don't need to pull guys after one pitch or 9 pitch innings
  9. Maybe not the best idea to pull everyone after 1 inning max and have to put Perdomo in a baseball game.
  10. Would've been a good moment to bench him too after not running that out.
  11. I think he can be optioned. They should probably do that.
  12. Probably about time to stop using this guy, sometimes trades don't work.
  13. Interesting, they just flashed the Reds score and it's in the middle of the 9th with the Braves leading 3-2 at home.
  14. I thought things were changed this year so that all partial games that were started get suspended and continued at a later date instead of starting over.
  15. Yeah when it's one of these terrible 7 inning double headers, a split double header is especially awful. Should be one ticket for the whole thing.
  16. Personally, I think a player needs to be a qualifier to be eligible for league awards.
  17. The title defense starts now!!! Bucks up 9-6 over Clippers in game 1 of summer league
  18. John LaRossa now has a 12.03 ERA over 33.2 innings, as a 26 year old pitching for the Timber Rattlers.
  19. Jeremy Jeffress currently has an 11.17 ERA in 10 G / 9.2 IP with 14 K / 8 BB / 3 HR pitching for the Lexington Legends of the independent Atlantic League. Is that bad?
  20. Ok, that redeems things a bit from the Tucker and Hill moves, offseason trending back in the right direction.
  21. Being vaccinated doesn't necessarily mean you are immune. There is a greater chance you won't feel the effects or they will be mild. None of the vaccines are 100% effective. I get "not 100% effective" but this isn't just a random outlier. This is a lot of players testing positive. Were these guys actually vaccinated or was that just a fake thing reported to the media? Or are the vaccines really this bad?
  22. Yeah I don't get how this isn't considered an "outbreak" yet. Didn't the Mets have games postponed earlier this year?
  23. More "vaccinated" players testing positive for the virus they were "vaccinated" for? Or are these "unvaccinated" players?
