I think the Brewers will need to win out to pull into a tie for the division, but they can do it. Counsell may have to give his starters a bit longer leash though or our bullpen could really burn out. -
Does he make the playoff roster? Almost seems like it is between him and Ray Black.

We need to keep pushing and make that a home game. We played them much better at our place this year, which is true of many of our opponents I suppose. -

I would love to see us +3 over the Cubs by the end of the weekend. They will likely sweep their series against the Pirates, and we could very easily go 1-2 against the Reds. That would still give us a 1 game cushion heading into that final weekend against the Rockies. -
From here on out I’m hoping the Cardinals smash the Cubs. We aren’t making up three games on the Cardinals at this point.

Nice to score early, maybe take some of the pressure off of the offense a bit.

Why is the roof closed today? For an offense that has been struggling mightily, you would think we would use an open roof to our advantage.

This is where I am at too. The math just isn't on our side to catch the Cardinals barring a major collapse by them. That loss by the Cubs last night was huge though, because now we can keep pace with them if they win a bunch of games against the Cardinals. Bottom line, we just need to keep winning our games and go from there. -
Lots of ugly swings tonight. The team could really benefit from a day off. Win these next four and recharge the batteries with the off day on Monday.

Yeah we need to win tomorrow's game and sweep the Pirates this weekend.

I think at this point you need to root for the Cardinals to smash the Cubs. It will be really hard to make up 3 games with 10 to play.
