  1. Thames looks horrid at the plate tonight.
  2. We are taking way too many pitches tonight.
  3. Could it be possible that THREE teams from the NL Central may make the playoffs?
  4. A couple of teams to keep an eye on down the stretch are the Phillies and Indians. If they can stick in the playoff hunt, they both have series against the Nats yet to come. The Nats could have a very difficult schedule if both of those teams are still in it.
  5. I will be rooting for the Nats. The ultimate goal is to win your division and not have to play a play-in game, that goal is now within reach.
  6. LOVE that sacrifice bunt to help plate the run. Would love to see us do more of that.
  7. He is. Simply because they don't have 7 better relievers. The way they continue to use him gives absolutely no indication that they don't view him as a key part of the pen, for better or worse. I'll give this a go; Hader, Guerra, Pomeranz, Claudio, Peralta, Jay Jackson, and Ray Black are all better. I think this is very close but Suter is in for sure. Oh yes forgot about Suter, he is better than Albers too.
  8. He is. Simply because they don't have 7 better relievers. The way they continue to use him gives absolutely no indication that they don't view him as a key part of the pen, for better or worse. 9. They will need at least one sweep to get to a 9-3 finish and 90 total wins. Our best chance at a sweep is probably the Pirates series this weekend. The Reds series is what scares me the most, we are only 8-8 against them this year and they will love to play spoiler.
  10. It feels like the crew will need to go 8-4, maybe 9-3 to get into the postseason. The Nats will be playing teams out of playoff contention once they are done with the Cardinals. We have zero margin for error at this point.
  11. Oof, Cain looks completely lost at the plate right now.
  12. Braun looks a bit worn down to me. It looks like he could benefit from a week off, with Yelich hurt that is likely not going to happen.
  13. Keep the divisional race and both wild card races going as long as possible.
