    With basically knowing what the Marlins offered....why even meet with his agents unless the Brewers are willing to up the offer?

    If Betancourt is back, the Brewers have no chance of going as far as they did this year in the playoffs. If you replace Gamel with Fielder on the same team, we probably win 10-12 less games. If you add a Reyes or Rollins and they have a good year, along with everyone else staying basically healthy, we could/should make the playoffs again.

    I just wanted to throw something out there to people on here and look for some insights to others thoughts.... Given everything that has happened with Penn State, would you still attend grad school there if you had other options?

    I wish the best of luck to Mark. He was a complete class act with Milwaukee. Some of you hate on him here, but its not his fault RR put him in CF. Kotsay always gave a great AB when the game was on the line and came through a couple of times. Good Luck Mark.

    Yes and you are basing this on the Brewers being the only interested team. If Sheets can pitch (big if there) and for a NRI, most teams would be in on him. He would not choose the Brewers. He probably bases his injuries on being overworked by the Brewers.

    I doubt Sheets is very fond of Melvin and if he is able to pitch, would surely accept something from a team other than the Brewers.

    Favre. Craig needs to retire or go coach. He is most likely done as a ballplayer.

    And Pena and Barmes both are terrible. Think of watching the Cubs play the Brewers...when Pena came to the plate, you had zero fear of him doing anything productive. These are the types of free agents we were signing in 2001.

    Fielder is gone. The quicker most of you realize it, the better. When Fielder talks of Milwaukee, he uses a past tense. Reason enough.

    I was more annoyed watching Prince laughing in the dugout when they lost game 5 with Taylor Green. That was annoying. Why are you laughing in the dugout as the game is ending. Keep on laughing Prince...it would not surprise me at all that you never in your career make it as far as you just did with the 11' Brewers.
