    I am not trying to be a downer but look back in this thread. People are talking about getting Freddi Gonzalez, Joe Torre, etc. We should be talking about people like Samuel. We are not going to get a top notch manager just like we cannot get a top free agent to come here. We are the Brewers. I agree, it sucks. This is the team we chose to root for.

    Clearly this is your opinion. To say the current team does not stress playing fundamental defense is pretty ludicrous. How many times have we read about how hard Weeks has worked with Randolph on his defense and that is only one example.

    Seriously, Ozzie Guillen? Joe Torre? The Brewers are not going to get anyone like that to come here. It is not going to happen. We cannot get mid level free agents to come here let alone top notch, highly sought after, World Series winning managers.

    Melvin has made the comment before that most of the prized free agents wont even consider coming to Milwaukee. We should all be happy to have Braun.

    Count me in for one more that agrees there should be something in the walk of fame. I am guessing that it will probably end up being the photo of Coffey, Braun and Fielder carrying him off of the field. Speaking of that...Does anyone have the feeling that it was Braun and Fielder's idea to do that and Coffey kind of squirmed in?

    Exactly, Hardy has been brutal the last two seasons now. I am glad we have Escobar.

    Hardy is 28 and appears to be past his prime. I am not sure why so many here are so in love with him still. Escobar is 23 and it is his first year in the majors. Relax. He is the future.

    Wow. If you take away any "playoff teams" number one and number two starter, they wont be a playoff team anymore. Especially when one of them goes by CC. Take him off of the Yankees last year, and it would be interesting to see if they make the playoffs either. Don't get me wrong, I want to see a positive change too. The Brewers were not a playoff team last year or this year.

    Isn't it part of the brewerfan rules that you have to provide a link or a source for this? I am not saying that it is not true but one would think that if brewerfan rule makers say you have to provide a link or source when you come up with something like this, they would follow their own rule as well.

    Yea, it would be. I would love to see him in his 30's trying to man first base weighing close to 300. Unless Prince goes somewhere in an ideal situation (DH, spot starts at first), I think the Brewers had Prince during his prime years.

    Gonzelez is the next skipper in Atl, not Mil. We would be lucky to get anyone decent.

    Arnett to the DL. Maybe this is why he has been terrible? What's wrong with him?
