  1. 1. Arcia 2. Lucroy 3. Nelson 4. Braun 5. Hader 6. Phillips 7. Smith 8. Villar 9. Jeffress 10. Davies
  2. Any word on McClanahan and Clark?
  3. That's putting it nicely. Braun is better off getting traded to an AL team. He provides major value as a DH. Way more than if you have to find a place to play him in the field.
  4. Agreed. However, if people don't think Bickford and Shaw are promising prospects, I don't know what to tell them.
  5. aaaaaaaaaaand we're done here
  6. Whether you want to admit it or not, I have a better chance of banging Margot Robbie than we do of acquiring Lucas Giolito or Yoan Moncada for Lucroy. But keep up the good work.
  7. Or you're just wrong. Oh yes, I'm sorry, we're totally going to get Lucas Giolito or Yoan Moncada AND THEN SOME for Lucroy.
  8. Some of y'all have some completely unreasonable values on Braun and Luc lol
  9. It's entirely unfeasible and unwise. Especially considering there's a 100% tax penalty on any team that spends more than 15% of their pool money PLUS you lose your next two first round picks.
  10. Bickford, Shaw and Parker would be a great haul. I'm super high on Bickford.
  11. If the Indians are willing to part with Zimmer, Sheffield and a wildcard like Luke Wakamatsu, I'm all for that deal.
  12. Lewis is going to get eaten alive by big league off speed stuff. He's one hell of a dead red hitter but he's fooled easily by any quality breaking ball. He's worth the gamble at 11 like the Mariners did (and they got him at slot $$$) so I can't blame them but he's got a lot of work to do.
  13. That trade is incredibly bad. Any deal with the Mets has to include Steven Matz.
  14. There's no hope. He's returning to UT.
  15. I want to be so wrong right now
  16. I'd be more worried if he struggled in the Cape Cod League but he didn't. In fact, he struck out less than Nick Senzel in the Cape last year.
  17. No problem man. I know I'm newer here but I typically don't form an opinion without proper knowledge on what I'm arguing. I'm certainly not rooting against Ray, I hope he has a great career, I'm just hesitant on him at #5. Hoping Atlanta takes him at #3.
  18. Oh, you're one of those guys that picks one thing and runs with it rather than reading statements as a whole. Cool. Considering I expanded on it by saying I could see a 50 grade (around 15 HRs) at his peak, I already elaborated on it. I also said he'd be lucky to hit 10 HRs a season meaning career average, not "he'll never hit more than 10 in a season." Yes. I've seen more than enough of Ray to form my own opinions so...
  19. Only way I'll be okay with Ray is if he signs for well under slot. I mean, enough to take a bonus baby with our 2nd rounder.
  20. Clark was a great pick last year. However, guys like Clark at 15 are way better than taking an older, similar prospect at #5 the very next year. I'll all but guarantee that Trent Clark will be better than Corey Ray.
  21. Fair enough .... but why not? The power grade isn't accurate, I HIGHLY doubt the power translates. He's hitting wall scrapers with a metal bat and he's a smaller guy so there's no projection when it comes to his power. He'll be lucky to hit 10 HRs a season in the bigs. He's more gap power than HR power. I just don't see the 55 grade that MLB.com gave him. I think it's more 40-45 and maybe a 50 at his peak (if everything goes perfect for him). I also really doubt his CF abilities. I think he's a corner outfielder more so than a CF. He's got the speed for CF but he doesn't understand the routes to the ball at the position. You certainly try him there, I just doubt he translates. He's solid and safe but he's not a top 5 talent.
  22. Wow, I'm sure Collins is within the range of reasonableness for our pick, but no way am I taking a guy with those college K numbers at #5 overall. You realize our last #5 pick, Ryan Braun, struck out 130 times in his three years at Miami, right? K's are a part of the game. You can't focus on them without looking at the BB rate as well. Unless we have contact rates to correlate with the strikeouts, they K's themselves are meaningless. I'm far from worried about Collins ability to hit. You see his K's and I see the fact that even with 159 Ks, he managed to walk 168 times. We see what we want to see. Collins would be a great pick at 5. I mean, Rickie Weeks only struck out 66 times in 541 AB in college. Shows what that reflects... Kris Bryant struck out 137 times, Conforto K'd 122 times, George Springer struck out 161 times. You don't get power hitters without strikeouts, folks. It doesn't work that way.
  23. Yep I totally agree! In fairness, I'm a Kyle Schwarber stan and Collins reminds me a lot of him. The only difference between the two is speed, which, with Collins likely ending up at 1B, it doesn't really matter. Just compare their college numbers... Schwarber 697 AB, .341/.437/.607, 40 HR, 149 RBI, 41 2B, 12 3B, 23 SB, 91 K, 116 BB, .265 ISO Collins 623 AB, .316/.467/.589, 39 HR, 177 RBI, 37 2B, 8 3B, 8 SB, 159 K, 168 BB, .273 ISO Collins has a higher K rate but he's also got a way higher BB rate. The power is similar but seems to be in Collins' advantage. Collins also isn't done racking up numbers with Miami (FL) still being in the NCAA tournament.
