On pace for a 36 pitch outing. Can he start tomorrow too? -
I was at the game about 15 rows up looking down the 3rd base line and Hader looked like he was starting to labor. I couldn’t see the strike zone from my vantage point and couldn’t tell he was being squeezed but he looked to be struggling to me. If it was a lefty batter coming up, I would have probably stayed with him but with the righty and a base open... and the day off tomorrow, I was fine with Knebel. I did think I was on BF though because a guy about 4 rows behind me yelled “thanks for blowing the game Counsell” as he made the change. Was it Twirl?

I don’t see the issue with talking to Braun about the batting order switch. It’s not like Counsell asked for his permission, he sat down and explained why he was doing it... it’s called communication. Did he have to do it? No, but good leaders do it Great game, great run these last few weeks, this team is so fun to watch. And the first page of the IGT never disappoints.

I think they kind of have to do it this way. You have to have some flexibility for situations where you have several injuries at a certain position or complete ineffectiveness at a position. If they get to a point where they have “value” in all 40 spots, they could be in a situation where they have to DFA someone they really don’t want to, to make room for an immediate need.

Thank you. You probably don't care but I stop reading posts if I can't easily comprehend the first line. You might be the smartest person on BF.net and have some amazing insights but I'll probably never know.

I actually do too. When Jeffress was in the minors, someone in the minors forum said that it was pronounced "Jeffers" and I never cared enough to know if that was right or not.

That's a great story but that's not how it works. So if you can say that not pitching Drake is a guaranteed shutout inning, I'm going to say that we would have pinch hit for Lopez in a close® game and the PH would have struck out instead of hitting a 3 run double. And if does happen to become a one run game late, the bullpen probably blows it anyway because that's what we've done all year. We can make up fake scenarios all day. Edit: spelling

I wouldn't be surprised if we see more of this. Set up a junk email account if you don't have one already and use that to set up a Facebook account. You don't even have to use your real name or do anything with it, just use it for watching games.

Nice game boys! Our offense is fun to watch, I see less extended scoring droughts this year. Amd the bullpen has been pretty good as well.

I’m in the minority but I think Uecker has been awful for years and its past time for him to hang it up. I’ve been a fan since the 70’s and I used to love him but he’s been bad for years and I can’t even listen to the game when he’s calling it.
