  1. Keon Broxton should be worrying about how a non-outfielder took his position instead of how much gum he can cram into his pie hole.
  2. Hopefully Milwaukee can fill their roster with 5 million dollar players and be around .500 next season. They are good deals and it is a rebuild, right?
  3. 5 million dollars for a player with declining skills who can not make adjustments at the plate. Oh yeah, five million for Garza being a #5 starter is a good deal, too.
  4. Hopefully they can unload Thames contract. It is not a good one.
  5. Hoping for: Villar CF Braun LF Walker 2B Shaw 3B Santana RF Thames 1B Piña C Arcia SS Suter P
  6. Hoping for this...... Villar 2B Walker 3B Braun LF Aguilar 1B Santana RF Piña or Vogt C Perez CF Arcia SS Nelson P I wish Villar was better in CF. Sounds like Shaw needs another day or two.
  7. He is a great bargain for five million in 2018. NOT!
  8. Maybe Garza should switch his players weekend jersey to "Gas Can?"
  9. Jimmy Nelson Chase Anderson Alex Cobb (3 years, 36 million) Zach Davies Brandon Woodruff Burnes and Ortiz start in AAA; Burnes is the first man up. Hader gets the 8th, depending on the situation, with Knebel closing.
  10. Hence, if Wilkerson or Jungman aren't getting a shot.
  11. I think nate82 is Ken Mocha or Matt Garza's mom. What you are saying is that Matt Garza is equal to DeGrom, Bumgarner or Sale. I am at a loss for words.
  12. Breaking balls do not break as much in thin air hence, better batting averages in Colorado.
  13. Barnes needed to go to AAA and work on location and a secondary pitch. Give Hughes the 7th.
  14. Please don't let Barnes pitch. Hughes and Drake in the 7th, Sawarzak in the 8th and Knebel closing.
  15. If you have no pay role flexibility, a five million dollar #5 starter might make sense. Milwaukee has a ton of flexibility and prospects to go get a #1 or #2 starter. If you insert someone at the top of the rotation everyone bumps down a spot. A 34 year old, #5 starter who has deteriorating velocity and K rates will leave the rotation worse off than what it was this season (average).
  16. If Chacin is mediocre he is better than Garza or Suter.
  17. Chacin could be had for a few flyers (Clint Coulter, Aaron Wilkerson, Taylor Jungman and/or Yadiel Rivera). If Wilkerson or Jungman aren't going to get a shot in the rotation before September, a roster addition may be a wise move. If he replaces Garza maybe "The 5 Million Dollar Man" will go home again, opening up his roster spot? Rotation: Nelson, Chacin, Anderson, Davies, Woodruff/Jungman/Wilkerson
  18. If this is a train wreck Phillips or Brinson will be back shortly. It is an impressive batting order.
  19. Looks like the five million dollar man is struggling again.
  20. The announcers have not mentioned the Neil Walker trade. I wonder if a member of the 25 man roster is involved? Too bad Addison Reed is not included.
  21. Nelson Anderson Cashner/Jiminez (a #2/3 on a two year deal) Davies Woodruff
  22. Hopefully Garza goes 6-0 the remainder of the season, his pep talk results in a Brewer turn around and he dominates in 2018 in a Brewer uniform. Realistically, he is an aging pitcher with declining velocity and endurance (D.L. stints, short starts). I fear his contract will be the second worst on the team in 2018 (besides Thames).
  23. When you have an opportunity to make the play offs you jump at it. Adding Brandon Phillips or Rajai Davis to lead off would not have costed substantial, prospect capital. Another reliever such as Neshek, when he was available, could have been had (Doolittle, Madson, Hand, now that his value dropped). The management did nothing and it appears to me that the team is under the impression that they weren't supposed to compete, anyway. Now, attendance is going to plumet which also affects off season spending. The are still going to have to acquire relief pitching this off season. They could have did it now.
