  1. They can have Raul Casanova for all I care, as long as Maldonado is gone.
  2. The only downfall is becoming awfully right handed. Jorge Lopez for Valencia straight up. The A's 2B situation is poor. Trade #1 could go.
  3. Scooter and Chase Anderson or Matt Garza with cash for Danny Valencia? Villar 2B Broxton CF (sketchy but I am hopeful) Braun LF Carter 1B Santana RF Valencia 3B Susac/Maldonado/ Piña C (keep two) Pitcher (goofy line up but Arcia sees pitches and can be aggressive) Arcia SS Perez becomes the 2B, CF, LF, RF, 3B SS super sub.
  4. What is the deal with fans thinking Domingo Santana should play first? If anything he should be part of a package to obtain a first baseman. These must be the same people who thought Maldonado should play first because all you have to do is catch the ball. Sheesh
  5. How about the Brewers give up Santana and a prospect (Phillips, Nottingham, Coulter)? Braun, Puig and Brinson with Broxton as the 4th OF would be such an upgrade. A gamble like this could make the Brewers competitive in 2017. Not saying playoffs, simply better than where they are now.
  6. Santana to 1B? Because he has proven that he is an awesome bat that shouldn't be kept out of the line up. The only prospect that can bring back a top tier pitching prospect is Brinson. All other prospects have flaws. Some will pan out but pitching outweighs fielding and hitting. You build pitching or sign it in free agency. Teams rarely trade pitchers, especially with team control.
  7. He was released by the Rays. He may be a good flyer for the Brewers although his defense is poor. He can't be worse than Flores or Nieuwenhuis! At worst there will be two light hitting Arcia's in the line up as the Brewer nose dive continues.
  8. Jimmy needs a break. Maybe a stint on the DL? Time for Suter, Hader, Wang or Jungman get an opportunity (Suter, please).
  9. Dale Sveum should have been renewed.
  10. Nose dive: 4 and 6 over the past 10 and the schedule is about to toughen up. To me it looks like their isn't a lot of fire (I.e. - players going thru the motions). Piña destroyed AAA pitching. Maldonado hit .200 and has not been a good hitter, ever. This is MLB. Not sure he gives Milwaukee the best chance to win. The handling of starting pitchers, and pulling them, is down right baffling at times.
  11. Will Counsell survive this off season? It is pretty clear Milwaukee is nose diving and the players seem to lack motivation. Lots of moves leave me scratching my head (Maldonado over Piña, not starting Broxton daily, running out the same struggling starters). Seems to me like they need a butt kicker, not a "student of the game." Boy, I thought Dale Sveum was the man for the job and still believe it. At least he has a little fire.
  12. Puig is a worthless gamble because our offense has been red hot? I admit, his posts the past two nights are not appropriate but at least he would be a middle of the order bat. The Gennett-Perez four hitter is a train wreck. If the Dodgers, who want to cut ties, pick up the salary and he fails, release him. If he pans out, however, he could be a four hitter and a league average outfielders the next 2.5 seasons (above average speed, cannon arm, dumb mistakes equal average). He would also put butts in the seats. Welcome to 10,000 per game in September as the Brewers get to twenty games under .500. For a pathetic offense he is worth the risk.
  13. If it means I see less of Ramon Flores or Matt Garza, sign Tebow to a MLB contract immediately. Stick to football. You would be a good fit at any SEC school. They need all the positive role models they can get.
  14. If it means I see less of Ramon Flores or Matt Garza, sign Tebow to a MLB contract immediately. Stick to football. You would be a good fit at any SEC school. They need all the positive role models they can get.
  15. I was hoping the recalls would have been Suter and Magnifico. Oh well, hopefully Peralta makes the most of his opportunity.
  16. Villar is 25 years old, a.300 hitter, plays good defense and is controllable; Orlando is an unproven rookie short stop with a weak bat. Enough said.
  17. Dumb move. Perez, Gennett and Villar are all playing quite well. One of them is going to have to sit. I can see Villar becoming a cancer if he is the odd man out. Could have easily waited a month for a longer audition from Perez, Gennett and Villar and should have rather seen someone brought up to platoon with Carter. Cooper and Cechinni were all better choices. Heck, even Wren makes more sense.
  18. Add Cechinni so we don't have to watch Carter play 1B.
  19. Texas is in on LuCroy but wants a pitcher back if Gallo is involved. I assume they want Guerra and this may be Milwaukee's time to cash in. LuCroy and Guerra for Gallo, Mendez and Ortiz plus three low level "flyers." How about LuCroy and Guerra for Gallo, Profar and Mendez? This could get interesting! Definitely like that Texas has prospects to get this done. MLB players like Moreland, Ramirez could be included?
  20. Hopefully Cleveland. They become my favorite AL team because of LuCroy and Franconia.
  21. Buster O. is about as reliable as Tom H.
  22. If that is the offer throw in a reliever like Torres or Boyer and pull the trigger. Nimmo makes this a good deal.
  23. Guerra is the type of player Milwaukee needs to keep. Asking prices need to include DeLeon or another young #2 or #3. Who cares if he is 21 or 31. He is a cheap, quality option for this season and next. With no #1 in the future he is the anchor to the rotation. Guerra, Davies and Nelson should be untouchable. Give Hader a look in September and they could be an excellent 2 thru 5. Add a #1 and maybe we are on to something.
  24. If we had a spot for Puig? The Santana, Broxton, Flores, Perez, Nieuwenhuis, Presley, Phillips, Liriano experiment has been going so well. lol I am more excited about Milwaukee bringing back an OF rather than a SP. Puig is the ideal buy low candidate.
  25. Totally outside of the box but the Dodgers get LuCroy. The Brewers get Puig, Barnes and a pitcher not named DeLeon or Urias. Too much or too little for LuCroy? Definitely helps Milwaukee's outfield issues and I think Puig would be better served outside of a big market.
