  1. Jack Z actually said that himself in his interview. I really like that quote.
  2. I agree. Now that the shock has worn off and I have had a chance to look closely at his numbers, I'm pretty pleased. I still can't get over the .589 OBP.
  3. Is there any chance they drafted him thinking they might not even sign him? Very surprising pick.
  4. The Mets would be giving up a lot in that scenario for a rental player... Especially one who's been shaky this season.
  5. Man if they take Mesoraco I'll be pretty disappointed. When did this guy become a top ten pick? I'm guessing Wieters goes to the Nationals, but are people REALLY expecting the Brewers to take him if he's there? Moustakas is one thing, but I just don't believe they'd pay over twice the slot value for Wieters.
  6. I definitely have a man-crush on ColbyJack. In three or four years I went from knowing nothing about the MLB Draft to reading everything I can find about it (starting of course with brewerfan.net), and that's only because I found his stuff here.
  7. "The price is wrong..."
  8. I would be surprised to see Porcello far that far as well, but I can see the top seven shaking out the way he has it. I hope my rekindled hope for Moustakas is not totally unfounded. I think he might fall to seven.
  9. Yeah. I was going to say something like that. You could read for 16 hours, yo-yo for 16 hours or whatever and it could eventually be just as grueling. It's not a sport.
  10. Because Suppan will throw about three times as many innings as Cordero per season. Also it will take more than 10+ to re-sign Cordero. More like 13 or 14+. It just doesn't make sense to spend that kind of money on a reliever, even if it's one as great as Cordero. Also doesn't Suppan have like a two-year no-trade clause?
  11. He's the man. Every actor from Arrested Development is hilarious.
  12. I really hate the way the pitching stacks up in this series. I don't have much confidence in Vargas to not suck.
  13. I'm not buying the "Bush is a six-inning pitcher" stuff. What about the game in Houston against Oswalt where he had a shutout after eight innings? He had 77 pitches after six innings. I was thinking eight innings or complete game for him. Yet some people are acting like it was obvious that he shouldn't have gone out after the sixth.
  14. Just to clarify, I made my last post before Estrada actually hit into that double play. He sucks.
  15. This is why Estrada bats fifth... So he can hit into bases loaded double plays.
  16. Hey Woogie, do you know where the weight room is? Is it this way, or is it THAT way? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif http://www1.istockphoto.com/file_thumbview_approve/2449028/2/istockphoto_2449028_sexy_commando.jpg
  17. I think Bush is good for another quality start today. Like others have said, Marquis has been mediocre for his last few starts.
  18. I like most of the lineups posted here, but here's my version. Against RHP: 1. Hart/Gross 2. Weeks 3. Hardy 4. Fielder 5. Hall/Gross 6.Jenkins 7. Braun 8. Estrada Gross would get a couple starts a week subbing for Hart and Hall. Against LHP: 1. Hart 2. Hardy 3. Fielder 4. Hall 5. Braun 6.Weeks 7. Mench/Jenkins 8.Estrada Mainly I'm with Russ though. As long as the personnel is there the order is secondary. But please move Estrada out of the five-hole.
  19. I'm hoping for Moustakas or Heyward as well. Scherzer recently signed, correct? Any thoughts on how it may impact the first round?
  20. Gabe Gross was a quarterback at Auburn! Doesn't ex-quarterback trump ex-punter?
  21. The bat on mine snapped as I was taking it out of the box. I super-glued it together so that's fine, but now it won't really screw in properly. The bat's extremely flimsy.
  22. Agreed. Marlins strikeout-ness+shadows from day game=Several Ks
  23. I definitely like the Brewers' chances. Yost should have pretty much the entire bullpen rested and at his disposal.
  24. And then I can't believe Yost thought it was be smart to use said fifth-best AAA pitcher in a tie game in the eighth. Why is it taboo to use Turnbow or Cordero late in a tie game?
